The impasto finish on the hair is really lovely. Thank you for showing how you got there

Nicely done. Great back and forth handling of those light transitions in the hair. Really adroit handling of the impastos. I'd love it if you would show the painting in full screen view at the end.

Wonderful, Mr. Fengshi Jin! Perfect use of colors, tone, shading, beautiful proportions... real mastery of painting process. It is not clear from the video whether the entire painting was done alla prima - in one go or whether you refined it the next day and completed it the third day?

Amazing work. I recently decided to start painting and this is very inspirational. I love your style! Unfortunately, I think KZbin cut the audio from most of the video, however your work speaks for itself. In the future I would love to hear you speak about your process during the video!

Around 18:15 there is a huge change in the face and the video appears to jump. Is the change due to paint settling in in some way?

I've never seen anyone work quite like this, I was a bit surprised how much you build up on top of previous paint, how does it not get muddy?

Awesome, Jin. I like the discipline in the methodology, from general to specific and from dark to light. Just by curiosity - even if it does not matter after all - how long did this painting take you to paint totally (not including drying time)? People usually don't realize all the iterations and time it takes. You have a very good technique, so I assume you're probably fast.

What happened at 18:13? It's as if an overlay photo of the face was all the sudden placed on the painting.
@bendunselman7 ай бұрын
Yes indeed. Exactly my thoughts. He started painting over a photo from there onwards.

You people are not serious this is time lapse. It took 4days to make this painting,so you expect him to show all those 96 hours. Of course he stop filming many times and restarts the camera each time he has advanced in his process.
