I begynnelsen av mars 2020 satt min eldste sønn, Halvor modell til et dobbeltportrett av oss to. Her er filmen om maleriet så langt det er kommet i skrivende stund.

A different approach to what he normally does, when building up a painting from a sketch on the canvas. I find the result very refreshing and “painterly” . More intuitive and less school smart. With the little “off” on realistic, Lucían Freud comes to mind….not all coincidentally I guess, the artist being a big admirer of the great master

Wonderful incorporation of his reflection. Fantastic Insight..Loving your strokes and neutralized colors. I didn't like learning how to neutralize my paints at first / but now to see how well you work your cast shadows and shades impresses me. I have a hard time with them as a junior student.. Thanks so much for these videos. 🥂
