I absolutely loved this! Such nostalgia--Those scenes from inside The Fox Run Mall were priceless, especially to see how the mall was booming and busy then. One of the most striking things about this beautiful video time capsule is seeing how engaged people were with the people around them and their surroundings: Not one cellphone in anyone's hand.

Such beautiful memories. Little did we know then that our beautiful little city was ripe for the plucking. So sad what happened to it. Thanks for this treasure.

It's tough, because the city has changed but in someways it's still the same old place. I grew up in Durham from the early 00s onwards.

Some of these scenes are earlier than 1989, I saw a sign for a building under construction and it said Opening in 1987.

Very possible. Good eye!

good eye indeed, but let me point out that the West End Yards Coming 2020 sign is still up on Lafayette almost 3 years later. :)

The Sears entrance looks like the Fox Run mall, so is it definitely all footage of Fox Run or is anything from the Newington Mall?
