What is European Portuguese? Portuguese is Portuguese, just the accent changes (of course in Brazil there are words of Indian origin) I've never seen American English and European English on the internet. It's another example of Brazilians separating themselves from everything that belongs to Portugal and are even ashamed to speak Portuguese!

we call them american english and british english. Tbh idk why its called european portuguese either because the only european nation that speaks it is portugal. But all it refers to is accent and certain differences that go far beyond just pronunciation. Yes portuguese is portuguese but its all about dialects/accents, and there are sub dialects of each
