On 1 September 1998, David Beckham, his fiancée, Victoria Adams (AKA Posh Spice), and Victoria's bandmates Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) were swarmed by fans as they arrived at Heathrow Airport. The Spice Girls had just completed the Spiceworld Tour, a sell-out tour of Europe and North America. In the Posh and Becks timeline, the couple had been engaged since January that year, with the wedding to follow in 1999.
