Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 9 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. Luke is just adorable & he was so concerned about Gigi’s water coming down, I kept thinking it sounds like when you’re about to go into labor 😂. He just hung in there all day long until dinner. Experiences are what make the places we go so memorable.

Lily Luke’s priceless! He expresses pure childhood honest innocence and radiates joy and happiness. I love the way he took care Gigi when climbing the steps. He is such an adorable little boy very advanced for his years. Only 4 and able to enjoy the Vatican in Rome. It’s in credible for a child so young to like sightseeing and want to visit churches and enjoy Art, sculpture and foreign food. It’s good you are doing school work with him. He seems to be progressing nicely. I think your right to teach him new things on the go. Little and often is good when teaching a young child literacy and numeracy. I think it’s the best way. It prevents him from getting board and switching off. It enables him to remember what he has learnt. Glad you and your parents and sister had such a wonderful holiday in France and Italy. Safe journey home to Thailand. It was lovely to see Watt and the two younger children enjoying the boat race in Thailand while you were away. Lila is growing up fast and looked beautiful in a lovely blue dress and matching bonnet. Tons of love from the West County in the Uk ❤

Hello Lilly, I am so glad to see this video today of yours. I was down and out from Friday till today the 31st Oct. I nearly thought that today was going to be last day. I missed a 3 car pile up this morning. The guy in front of me had the right of way to turn right. I followed him because I had the green light to turn right. But one twit had the red light on the opposite direction, and decided to go straight. I had a very close miss. But I am grateful HE kept me alive. Anyway going back to your video. Those guys that took your baggage. I am sure they must have had a car. Your bags were near the door. So how did they get there before you all. I could see you all were exhausted climbing those steps. Wat is at his happiest when he is by the beach fishing and chilling out in KS. You'll never be able to change him and why should you? Remember...you came into his world and met him in his world. You shouldn't take him out or away from where his heart is. You'll learn this in time.

I agree. Wat would never be happy living living anywhere else other than KS. He had a difficult time adjusting in Bangkok (same culture and language). Imagine how much harder it would be for him living in a western country especially in the US with all the hostilities against immigrants going on right now. Married couples of different cultures and nationalities face so many challenges. My son married a humble Thai girl and the problems are many. There are issues regarding; culture, religion, upbringing, food, work, etc . . . , and even more problems if there are children. It takes a lot of love to keep these marriages together.

@@Dina52328 I agree with everything you say. Wat puts on a brave face when he's away from KS and I suspect he does it out of the love he has for his children and Lilly. Their relationship however will be tested very soon: Wat will head back to KS no matter what anyone says because I see that yearning in his eyes and heart. It's up to Lilly if she decides to follow him back to living full time in KS. Personally, I don't think she will be able to fully commit to staying in KS. She's a restless soul and thrives on new experiences and sampling various cuisines on offer around the world. She's very Western in her outlook for life and Wat is very typically Thai with simple and some would say, humble requirements. Give him a fishing net and a motorbike and that's all he wants. Lilly will eventually head back to the US and run the fashion business with her sister Chloe when her Mum retires. The two boys will travel the world and discover Australia and surfing. They'll mainly do cash in hand jobs to survive as well as vloging. Their nanny Nam will head back to her country to be with her family. Lilly and Wat will stay friends and maintain contact, but won't be husband and wife. I just fail to see how they can stay married for the long term. They are just too different and they know it.

@@jeremypayne8001 , Exactly. Even when you marry someone your own race and nationality there are problems in the marriage with 50% ending up in divorce in the U S. My son is in the exact situation, very western, a world traveler, an entrepreneur, appreciates world cuisine and is very much a debater in science and politics. In turn, his wife is a humble villager with very little needs; she does not ask for much or talk much. The only thing keeping them together is their little daughter. But I also don’t see how they can stay together married in the long term. The only ones who suffer are the children 😢. However, Love conquers all so I wish all the best for Lilly and Wat. Three cheers for Luke, he's the best traveler ever! George and your mom are my heroes climbing all those stairs. People who live in really hot climates are called lazy by Americans but the heat keeps you from anything outdoors. In Thailand I had heat stroke and heat exhaustion several times which made he heat sensitive the rest of my life. Mexico is the same way and Southern Texas. If your not in the water somewhere its time to go to a mall, eat and then take a nap. Enjoy yourself and this wonderful time in your life.
