Earthquakes scare me out of my wits.Do you still experience them Nicki.Interesting learning to stay outside sleep also and stay clear of high buildings makes sense we were taught hide under table under door beams seems crazy.Love the vlog Thankyou Nicki❤️❤️

So glad you all were safe!! I'm sorry your holiday was cut short but I agree better safe to get off the Island. No other aftershocks and not felt anywhere else in Italy? Holly seemed to love sleeping outside!

Sleeping outside was lovely, except for the strong winds! I don't think it would have been so nice if there weren't proper beds though!

I live in a country with a lot of earthquakes but not in a steep zone. In the city we get shakes but out along the coast or in the mountains roads are destroyed etc. they are vile.

Our house in Christchurch was badly damaged by the 2011 quake , I had not long had a baby and had 2 other children at home and 4 spread out at high schools and a primary school we couldn’t get to afterwards as we lived in a seaside suburb on a hill and boulders blocked the road . It was the scariest thing ever having the house shake and move around you with no stable floor to walk upon to get out , you can’t lean against the walls because they move independently to the floor . Just about every thing we had was damaged in some way . The noise of a quake is also something you can’t appreciate until it happens , once I had everyone out with cuts a bruises only , I watched the cliff break off into the sea.

@@NickiPositano Thankyou yes , the children took a while to recover but all is good 10 years on and the city is starting to look good again . It has taken all these years . We both live in earthquake / volcano countries and it becomes something you know is there but can’t live in fear of it . Both NZ and Italy are beautiful countries . We love to watch you in Positano, we were in Cinque Terre and Florence in 2019 and loved it . Next time travel is permitted we would love to visit Positano and kayak !

Fires and earthquakes. Just like living in California. Watching this in Jan 2021 after 3 years of fires and constant small earthquakes where we live in California. The big one is predicted any time here.

In hindsight you should have remained there, but I think anyway you made the best decision to go back home. Beautiful Ischia though.
