Mabuti pa jan, ang onti ng estudyante at ang ganda pa ng classroom. Can't try it in public schools in PH, where we teachers have 30-50 pupils in the classroom. I envy the teacher in this video.

Pauline, I completely understand! Are you able to do any lessons where one person speaks at a time? If you are able to set up this routine in the classroom, you can definitely do class meetings too! It might look differently; for example you might have it happen in small groups, at tables, or perhaps designate a few students to give a compliment/appreciation each day in the large group. If you can carve out ten minutes one day to teach students how to give compliments and appreciations, you can have them turn and talk to practice it and then create a routine however it works for you. You as the teacher could start by modeling giving a student a compliment each day so that others can see it at work. There are many ways to work toward providing a sense of belonging and significance for your students, and this is just one way. Be creative and you can make it happen!
