I just got mine yesterday and I’m pretty chuffed. I’ve been using a double Headrush speaker set up and this sounds just as good, not quite as loud but solid.

If you have one to choose between headrush and spark cab ?
@rockerchefdave11 ай бұрын
@@fursol I’d still probably have to go with the Headrush. It’s 2000 watts over 140. The Headrush is also not as bass heavy as the Spark. I’m actually using two Headrush. A 112 and a 108. They sound huge.
@jeeeeev11 ай бұрын
I have the 108 and planning on getting a 12" frfr. Do you think this is as loud as the 108? I am struggling with my 108 in keeping up with our drummer. @@rockerchefdave

Question, does the sound come out of the amp AND the cabinet at the same time? Or does using the cab bypass the Spark Amp speakers?
@VaporTrailChannel11 ай бұрын
It mutes the amp. It uses the headphone jack to the cab, so that’s mostly why. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻

I just got mine and it seems to have a high noise floor. Did you notice this with yours? And if so, would you happen to know how it compares to other FRFR speakers?
@VaporTrailChannel11 ай бұрын
You mean the "hum"? Yea, mine has it and I haven't had time to delve into why. Some say when you change the contour switch it helps, but I'll have to sit down and test that out. I don't have others, like the Headrush to test it against, so I'm not sure how it compares, but I might look into grabbing something else to compare with. Let me know if you find out anything! Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻

@@VaporTrailChannel I'll have to listen critically to mine today again....I don't recall a hum.....
@VaporTrailChannel11 ай бұрын
@@TheChicagoToddyea, there has been considerable talk on socials about it. Once you’re playing, it doesn’t show up, and it may be related to certain pedals / EFX. It’s not bothering me too terribly, but I’ll play around and see what’s up. Lots of talk that FRFR speakers tend to have a low hum, so it just may be what it is. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
@TheChicagoTodd11 ай бұрын
@@VaporTrailChannel I just went and checked mine.....no hum....perfect. I was just flipping through the 4 presets on my Spark Go. Additionally, I've seen some chatter about cracking noises. Thankfully mine does not have that defect either. Other than sounding "bass-y"....seems to work really well, and pretty darn loud.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I have the Spark 40 and feel like that's 40 watts of extra power that could be used for extra amplification if needed that we're missing out on. I understand 140 watts is a decent amount of power, but why not be able to use that extra juice? Obviously I'm not a electrical engineer...lol.

@@MrStrativarius Hello, I agree. The extra speakers would be a great complement to the Cab. A disappointment. Rock on.

If you take out the grill which fits very tight not easy to pull out you will see that other then the spark 40 amp the grill has a metal piece und the cloth which makes the front more solid but we found that it vibrates and with volume up and some fuzz it makes crazy noise. Just a heads up if you hear it to and wonder what happens.

Can you swap out the speaker grille like you can on the amps?
@VaporTrailChannel11 ай бұрын
I'm not 100% sure. I did try to pry it off like you would on a Spark Amp, and it sounds like it's pulling away from velcro, but since I was sure...and it sounded like it might be tearing what could be double sided tape, I decided to stop. Don't wanna mess up my new cab :-p But I would imagine that they would do that. If you find out that you can, would you mind stopping by and letting me know? Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻

PG have added an EQ virtual pedal that deals with the bass. The only problem is it’s not global and takes up the space of other pedals.

Also if you play metal you might not notice to much but if you like the deluxe reverb presets on the spark 40 you will definitely miss something. Eq pedal in the software helps a lot. 😊

I've always wanted to share my other passions on the channel, but back in the day product was coming in so often for review that I couldn't even keep up. Now that it has slowed...sometimes to a trickle...I've got the time to do so, and I'm stoked on that. I think that people expect you to be one dimensional when they watch your channel...and that is just not me. I have a lot of passions, and I wish to share them. Heck, when I started the channel, I chose the name from a Rush album...because I knew I wanted to include other stuff and I love music. So yea...you'll be seeing more guitar content here on the channel. Check out some of the other new content I've got. You might find something you like! Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻
