Thanks for showing the clean sound. That's a pet peeve of mine on amp reviews they always say "So here's the clean sound" and they play about 4 notes or one chord "And here's the distortion sounds" . . . As a jazz and ambient player I really want to hear the clean tone.

Great walkthrough! It’s such a cool tool for all the stated reasons. I can’t get over the price point either. For all the capabilities it has and potential for recording, learning, jamming, and the Bias software, it’s hard to beat! It was an instant preorder for me. Thanks again for the thorough walkthrough.

Ok, my girl said if you don’t about amp classifications, it sounds bad. There are class a , class a/b, class d. These are not quality grades, rather descriptions of how the amp uses your signal. D is super efficient, most often used in sound reinforcement. A is on constantly, super chime. Vox ac30. A/b high output. Fender, marshall. D class high output, complex power supply based on current demand. Usually sound reinforcement

OMG I know it sounds kind of digital compared to other high end amps, but man, $250 40 watt amp with those features and pretty nice tones, it’s a no brainer. To get that “not digital” tone would cost $800-$1000 and will need also a decent set of pedals

Well the Positive Grid guys are gonna be rich enough after all the sales they make with this little amp.

@GearsyGGAA
@GearsyGGAA 4 жыл бұрын
Jerome Dechant very similar, but the boss has way less features for double the price. The katana air sounds great but so does the spark for half the price. I think ultimately you get a better overall sound from the Spark because it’s basically a powered monitoring system versus an amp setup. If you’re not wanting to have to use an iPhone/Android to truly use it though then the boss is probably better for you. But in reality you’re limited to a subset of tones with the boss whereas the options are limitless with the spark. Go check out bias fx/bias amp on your smart device and that’s really pretty much what you’re getting

busted99 I have one on order and went to the Positive Grid, trust me when I tell it’s got great sounds and massive selection of tones and play along features for a practice amp.

does it have any jazz tones?

There are some jazz tones available on ToneCloud! You could also modify one of the preset clean tones to get it sounding how you want :)

How loud can it get?
@albertkraglmusic
@albertkraglmusic 4 жыл бұрын
It gets pretty loud, I had the volume at less than a quarter and that was already bordering on too loud for my bedroom. It would definitely be loud enough for small shows, coffee houses, etc.

I just canceled my order for the Spark and requested my money back. I am so angry about the way they are handling the orders. I have never seen anything like it. The amazing way they have created this situation where they keep you waiting for delivery with vague promises about the status of your order and give you no idea what to expect about delivery. I SUGGEST WAITING UNTIL VERSION 2.0 AND SEE WHATS THE REVIEWS ARE LIKE THEN.

@@jlebreton That is it exactly. I lost my attachment to this device from a company I can't trust, and instead, I bought a Katana Air that arrives tomorrow and has a wireless link and batteries.

Hello, I have Positive Grid Bias Amp, Bias pedal and Bias FX 2 Elite. Are the sounds that comes with the app from this amp (spark) so good? If I pay this amp, will I have all the effects and amps? Thank you.
@albertkraglmusic
@albertkraglmusic 4 жыл бұрын
For the price it sounds pretty good! It definitely sounds digital compared to a valve amp or similar, but it's also much cheaper so there's a tradeoff there. The amp comes with a Spark app that's separate from Bias and their other products, where you would have access to all of the tones/amps/etc. available there. Hope that helps!

I am angry that he does not play what these presets were created for. Obviously, for example, the Chunky B. Goode preset was created for the song Chuck Berry Johnny B. Goode, but in place of this he plays some kind of shit by which it is generally impossible to compare the sound

All the tones selected in the video sucked. They all sounded like the same lead tone but more muddier or less muddy. Is mud a tone option on the app?

Wish they would put someone on the spark amp videos who can actually play a song and not just sit there and bend and slap, twist the strings and beat on the guitar. These chords they are making all sound like noises coming from a haunted house dungeon.

What about the elephant in the room. The only people actually playing these amps are KZbin reviewers. Going on month number SIX of waiting for this so called amp. They did charge my credit card right away. Don't believe the website with their month and a half shipping timeline. BS.
