I’m torn btwn this and the Spark 2 as a kickass guitar practice amp. I was all set to get the Spark 2… but am thinking about the Live now because I may want to plug a mic in & practice vocals in the future. 🤔
@KeyWestMusicMakers-fo6oi8 ай бұрын
I am strongly considering. I would assume that with the new effects pedal one could add an AB switch to it and then the box to Live? And also, possibly AB switch direct to the Live. I play Lap Steel and would also want to use the volume pedal, so would likely need to buy the effects pedal with the 2 inputs.. My main question is can the out ports go into a board (and thus a house sound system) ? My hope is that I can use this as a monitor (with all of my presets so I don’t need a lot of external pedals) and then that same sound go through a channel board when playing at a gig that house an in house sound system. Or I guess I could just mic that Live when need be to go through the system. I love that this is all in one and light weight.

You can use the headphone output as a stereo line out or a mono out to a PA system. May need an adapter. This output jack in on the rear panel. The are shipping the new 6 switch peddle in May, ordered mine 2 months age. That will give me enough control. Called Spark X

Hey man! Thanks for the video! Since you've been in the game for so long here's a question: How much of a better choice do you think this would be against a comparable valve amp (Let's say a Marshall Origin 20) with some analog pedals? I'm really digging its all-in-one percs while being super practical to carry around. A better question would be: Knowing what you know, if you had this technology back in the day, would you still rather go through all the conventional amps? Thanks in advance!

OK, here’s my answer. I’ve had many amps over the years. I have had many many petals over the years. In fact, I have two pedalboards that are loaded with everything from overdrives to delays. I’ve enjoyed playing through my apps and through my pedalboards with some control over all the effects I have, of course some of the noise that comes with all the different petals and all the different cables connected. If you’re playing rock music, that’s not an issue because the sound of the guitar overdrives any noise from your petals. But if you’re playing quietly some of the feedback from the petals does get in front of the music. This new spark live amp is very quiet but can be very loud if you so desire giving you full control over the music you’re playing. I would say this is probably the best option from buying a multitude of amplifiers to try to get the right sound as you can model any sound you want including a valve sound from tubes. I think this is way better than a conventional app as it gives you both the flexibility of any sound you’re looking for combined with the portability of one system for all venues. I hope this helps in your decision. By the way, I will be selling most of my other amplifiers, likely in the fall.

Is it good at low volumes? It's a versatile thing, but I feel it's more suitable for rehearsals and small live performance events (playing on the street or in a bar etc.). How does it perform when it comes to home use and trying to spare your neighbours?
@JDRichard7 ай бұрын
This is a fantastic amplifier that works at low volume as well as cranking it out. I have it in my living room right now and there’s no issue adjusting the volume. I’d recommend getting an expression pedal or maybe two they’re really cheap on Amazon. This way you can control your guitar volume and your music volume as well, although both can be controlled from the application. I’m sure because it’s 150 W and it does get loud you could easily use it for a gig.

I was looking for a chance to get a smaller one, but still able to perform in a small gig, amp. Thought about 68 fender Princeton reverb, as I already have a practice amp (thr10 II). And then I see this at a much more tolerable price range. I'm not a professional musician. It's a hobby for me so this looks perfect although it's a professional tool.

Any idea how many mics can be use at one time?
@JDRichard8 ай бұрын
It is four separate inputs and four separate channels. One of the channels is specifically for vocals, but I think channels three and four could easily take a quarter inch jack Mike input so I think realistically you could put three mics as a PA system. As well, on the back panel you have independent volumes for the Mike channel as well as channel 3/4.
