Doctor Sleep is kind of a miracle. Managed to be a sequel to the Kubrick movie and the King book, while adapting another King book, and it actually came out good. Well done them.

IT 2 isn't really a sequel, it's just one movie broken up for time... Like Kill Bill was too long so QT had no choice but to break it up but it's still 1 movie. 🤔

Its so interesting to me how someone can watch the same movie and have completely different experiences (everyone has different opinions with films and thats a great thing), like I cannot understand how Unfriended is seen as better than Dark Web 👁👄👁 Unfriended is one of the worst horror movies I have ever seen, the acting was pretty bad in my opinion and the characters were super annoying, but my biggest issue is the death scenes. Some of them was so bad that it almost seemed like a parody, it was more funny than scary to me. But I thought Dark Web was really good, and found the whole dark web element much scarier (+ more realistic) and relevant to the real danger with the dark web and people sitting behind computers wanting to watch others suffer for their own entertainment. Does anyone agree with this take or is it just me lol

How about ranking the types of body horror, from your least to most favorite? And both book and movie recs to go with them? So, ranking... Disease, plant, animal, alien, metaphysical (disappearing/reappearing, becoming light, dissipating into sound, etc), supernatural (vampire/werebeast/wedigo, etc), human augmentation/technological. I think you could do a REALLY interesting tier list with that. * Also, happened to see your Instagram, and saw you were watching HP:SS. Have you ever read Naomi Novik's Scholomance trilogy? The first 2 are out, the last will be out this Fall. It's dark academia, much like HP... Only Hogwarts is trying to kill you, and the MC is not prophesied to be the savior. Instead, she's supposed to be the destroyer of all mankind. And hates it. She just wants to be herself.

Halloween Kills is so fun. I watched it twice - once on Halloween, and had a good time. The kills are unique. The story wasn’t too bad, though they cornered themselves promising a trilogy. I was actually surprised to see how many people absolutely hated it.

I think it would be cool to one day do a Prequel list. And I would like to see a list of the Movies found in sinister. And this just popped in my head, but maybe one day you could do a tier list or countdown of most creative ways to die in a horror movie. I know you did something similar with the Final Destination franchise, but I was thinking in general. Anyway, I know what it's like to 'go against the grain' when it comes movies. One of my fav Disney movies is Fantasia 2000, and I know I am in the minority since most people preferred the original, and even though the original still has my 2 favorite acts out the 2 movies (Nutcracker and Pastoral Symphony), I still think 2000 was overall stronger for I enjoyed all of them (I actually don't like the Sorcerer's Apprentice), plus I enjoyed the format and it was more entertaining for me personally.

Ah hi! I never thought I’d meet somebody on Possessed By Horror’s comment section whose favorite movie is Fantasia, too! My favorite movie of all is the 1940’s Fantasia, have seen it probably hundreds of times. But! The 2000 version *slaps*! I was born in 1999 so I saw that one first, I think. I mean, Rhapsody In Blue alone is marvelous. Firebird Suite? Amazing. I’ll always prefer the original, but they’re both works of timeless art. I really wish they would make more, two is not nearly enough and there’s countless pieces of music they could set it to.

Watching Paranormal Activity 2 in theaters was a great experience for me too! I saw it on Halloween back in 2010 in a decently packed theater. It was so fun hearing some people scream during the jumpscares or others cheering when Katie and Micah showed up. I honestly got terrified during that cabinet scene, it was SUPER loud. I didn't like Next of kin but I would've at least loved to have seen it in theaters. Unfortunately I think Paranormal Activity will only have Paramount exclusive releases going forward.

No...the new Halloween movies are terrible in my opinion. Halloween (2018) had a good sequence with the hammer and stuff, but the mad doctor crap and some of the kills were really too much. In the sequel they make Michael Myers again some sort of supernatural being (after being clubbed, stabbed, etc. by the mob), just as in Halloween 2 (1981), I hate that stuff! Best Halloween sequel is Halloween: H20 in my opinion. I do like Halloween 2 (1981) a lot, but until the part with where Michael is shot in the eyes.

Dr. Sleep really surprised me, too. I thought the book was a little meh, the girl felt like a total Mary Sue. But the film makers made it better in film form than the book was...not too uncommon with a lot of Stephen King material (Dolores Claiborne, Christine, Salem's Lot, etc.). BW2 is easily in Why Try for me. I wasn't very disturbed by Human Centipede, either. I was laughing at the end with the corny ass speeches.

For me personally doctor sleep is sm better than the shining. I find the shining kinda boring even my mom thinks it’s boring and I love doctor sleep and my mother absolutely loves the film. It’s not to say the shining is a bad film but it’s kinda boring tbh.
