Possible maintenance of way shed on the D&H trail. Ararat township, Susquehanna County PA

Hello everyone. I would like to wish all the dads a happy fathers day! Had a great walk with Stella today. Not many chances to make videos today however I wanted to highlight this neat little structure. We are on the D&H trail but the railroad itself was built by the Erie company in 1868-1870. This was the Jefferson division of the Erie and I believe this shed was built sometime in the early 1900's. Most likely for maintenance of way purposes. Thank you for watching. 6/16/24

Awesome buddy, Noah’s Ark was found on Mt. Ararat and who knew there use to be a rail line going there. I wonder what locomotive picked them all up when they got off the Ark, the original circus train. Happy Father’s Day to you as well buddy.

I imagine a work crew in there on a cold winter day 75 years ago drinking some coffee before getting started. You should see the one I didn't get to document. That one was really neat. Happy Father's Day, Kevin! I could tell the graffiti in that shed was really old. What's really weird is it looks like Japanese was written on the outside side wall (2:43). That's a long way to come to vandalize a building on a rail trail. I'm thinking Japanese tourists from the '80s? LOL!
