7:24 The things at this time stamp are pot hangers or pothooks. They attach to the inside of the fireplace and swing back and forth. They are for hanging cook pots over the fire. You adjust the temperature by swinging the pot nearer to or farther from the fire.😉

The so called wine box is actually a toolbox that accompanies the ladder😮
@Gelb654 ай бұрын
The tool box came full of tools such as a hammer, monkey wrench, shears, etc. Mine came without anything else. I bought mine at Hobby Lobby. They are still being sold. The loose tools are the ones which came in the wooden tool box. Mine had painted red handles.
@medievallassie4 ай бұрын
I was going to comment on this as well. The two more modern tools (the wrench and the hammer) were a part of the set with the tool box. In addition to the one mentioned with the red handles, I also have one with no paint on the handles.

What an exciting assortment of goodies..I love all the goodies.I do think the second picture on watercolour paper,near the end with the castle on it ,it’s actually a real miniature.The paper was marker for the size they wanted and they just never finished the outer edge.Perhaps they were not happy with it.I think it’s a copy of a real painting too…Not a print but clever watercolour 🥰

Such lovely things . The Modern Cats would fit into the 1920's house well . The modern art craze was in the 20's such as Salvador Dali .He was at peak between 1923 and 19 37..And the Child from the Renaissance would maybe be cute in the borrowers clock..

I just found you channel and I love it had to subscribe. Have you ever made a faux frame by making a rubbing of a miniature decorative frame? You would make a rubbing on aluminum foil and I use black shoe polish on it to get the details to show. The more intricate the better. I have also made miniature animals with this way. Tin foil has a lot of uses this way. Thanks for sharing.

At first i thought that the fire tongs were for sugar ha ha. The brackets could be hung out side the 1940s house and filled with marigolds and tomatoes. The tankared loosely translated says good health when you clink you're glasses, tankared together instead of wishing cheers , salute skol etc The box could be for tools or glasses The Elizabethan picture you could make a fancy frame and place it in the regency dolls house. It could be one of their ancestors I remember the free doll, you could easily make a new parasol for it You ladies are naughty to tease us lol with making this into a two parter . i can't wait for it to air Take care lovely ladies. "Gut heil" is a very old saying that goes back to medival times. "Heil" comes from "Heilung" (healing). So, if you said "Gut Heil" [goot hyle] you actually wished someone a good recovery. It was often used on steins that were given out by what would today be called a sports club (Turnverein). These steins are called "Turnerkrug" and mostly depict people doing excercises - often in a patriotic context (especially in the 1900s). Reutter is pronounced "roy tear" (like in tear apart). These miniatures were very popular in the 90s but also very expensive. The modern cats look like they were taken from paintings from Rosina Wachtmeister, a contemporary Austrian artist. Very popular in the 90s /early 2000s. She painted those very colorful cats. I love that you were showing yourself on camera. The interactions between you are so lovely. 😊

I think the piece you thought was a sauce pan is actually a water dipper. On the farm, it was used to get a drink from a water bucket. The handle is longer than most sauce pans and at an upward angle, not usually the angle of a pan handle. Since I have some dippers like that, I'm fairly certain that's what it is. Happy crafting.

I'm absolutely kicking myself because, upon discovering an absolute treasure trove of miniatures within a local antique shop, I modestly declared my spending finished at a single 16 piece teaset; and left behind a TIIINY pewter charm that was a horse drawn carriage. As in, now that it's no longer in front of me to make me have doubts, I'm convinced it would have fit ON one of the shelves of my glass fronted china cabinet in my 1/12 dining room furniture.
