It's been a few months so this may be too late, but have they looked at the mantle mount for the tv? Also maybe suggest moving the microwave to the left to improve road mode. Not the stove though, not a good idea to stand in front of a door moving hot stuff around.

On another note: We did see the cougar 25 MLE and is just perfect to full time but we would have to change the truck 😞… same thing for the 29 FKD you suggested… it always comes down to the truck! 🤪 is such a bummer!

As an Imagine 23LDE owner, what I like about this Jayco floorplan is how they did the rear cabinets in the kitchen. Lots more counter space. This floorplan would also be good if you two needing to work remote from the road...One from the dinette and one from what call the entry way catch all counter.

Agreed! We owned a 23LDE and I like how they don’t have the box on the counter for the switches! I hated the lack of counter space! And I ended up hating the pass through bathroom. We recently upgraded to a Reflection 5th wheel.

I like this layout. We will probably do mostly campground camping so the closed slide is not an issue. However I prefer no dinette or table snd chairs. Would love if there could be a fireplace across from the loveseat. I know it is hard to get everything you want in a couples camper. 😊

The tv swinging allows it to be seen from the desk. Tv could also be used as an extra screen for a laptop via wireless connection

this trailer is perfect! Between the wife and I, we haven’t seen any “cons”. All “pros” which is rare when it comes to camper shopping. One question tho, does this unit have a black tank rinse?

The little desk reminds me of a nav station. I'd probably prefer to work at the dinette and use that knee space for shoes or dog bowls and the drawers for leashes, flashlights, totes, stuff you need going out the door.

‘Propanus’ is almost all I need to hear to make the sale! 😂 But a single point ‘poop chute’ would be such an improvement. Nice unit (that’s what she said 🤭) I like all three areas to rest one’s posterior, little work desk, dinette with sturdy table and theater seating which is a must on my next purchase. Good pull weight too. Position of stove and sink is odd but not a deal breaker. This checks off a lot of boxes less the fancier upgrades which you sacrifice for a Feather. And since you’ve set the bar so high now, I want the 100” pull down projection tv! 😂 And let me thank you Uncle Josh for your tireless energy, HUMOR and great production quality on each and everyone of your videos. They are literally the highlight of some of my days, I may not always post but I always enjoy. Love from Bandit and Haji too! 😂

Very thorough, as always, overview of a good couple's trailer. Regarding the TV, I'd put another storage cabinet where it is and hang the TV on the wall the backside of the medicine cabinet. I hate when TV's are situated so only two can actually watch, if you have visitors.

I've seen that done in some models before. I like the idea but more and more as I get older I like simplicity. I'm not sure how keen I am on the idea of another motor I could avoid vs. just a simple swing-down TV Either way.. SOMETHING there would be nice

If this floorpan had been available last year, I would've held out for it. I have the 22rb, which s awesome, but I REALLY wanted a dining area AND comfy seats. It's tough to find both in models, without adding a lot of trailer length. I had to choose only one, so I went with dining (for the daughter who needs it) This gives you the best of both in a floorpan I really like. The bathroom looks to be roomy enough. I'd even wager a bet that had Jayco done a walk-through bathroom, I'd have like that one, too. I think Cougar does this type floorpan with the walk through?? and I remember REALLY liking how it looked. This Jayco is great though. Thanks Josh! 👍

I’ve seen some tvs that drop down from the ceiling, so only blocks the window when you’re using. I’m less a tv user, preferring my tablet, so I wouldn’t even care if there wasn’t one in it. This is bigger than the one I lived in back in the day!

We agree with you regarding a drop down TV bracket. The desk is interesting and I would put a chair for a home office. I need the back support of a chair over a storage tub. I think if there was more room there -- like if the desk's seating area wasn't blocking the door/part of the kitchen, then a nicer full time chair would be great. If I were a more solo camper, then I could see that being great as well since you wouldn't really be fighting for space

Thanks Josh. Take the swivel TV to the bedroom and put a mechanism in that will pull the TV down over the dinette. This just may be my RV. The weight is right, the colors are great for me. CPAP friendly, no bendy bed, no walk through bath, boardwalk and Park place theater seating. It's checking all the boxes Josh. Wonder what interest rates are these days?

I would not like the stove and microwave close to the door. Lose both for travel but prefer that over cooking right in the way of traffic in and out of the camper. Love this floor plan. For the size of the camper they have absolutely nailed the storage!

We have an older 29 ft Starcraft with rear living, let me tell you, the DIFFERENCE it make in terms of making the RV feel more open and bright having windows on 3 sides at the back of the RV, our previous unit had a rear bath so the back wall was just a solid wall with a door, now with that big rear window and windows facing out both sides as well, man it feels big in there. Rear opposing slides makes a massive difference there too.

We ordered one of these from our local Jayco dealer here in GR (sorry). Nobody in Michigan had one. Next build schedule for this model will start in March. Hopefully we’ll take delivery before our annual “ice breaker/ test and tune” trip we always do in the early spring. The storage, closets and pantry along with a wide wardrobes next to the bed were major deal makers for the Mrs. “Happy wife, happy life”. The stabilizer jacks looks nice too. Watched a few videos on them. They seem “rock solid” 🙄 Hopefully the new drop down TV mount will be in our model. Although it’s no big deal if it isn’t as we rarely watch TV while camping. But if and when we do, that feature would be nice. Stay tuned on that one. Now I should probably focus on selling my old one. 😂

Well my 23RK was built on 3/18. Dealer took possession on Thursday 3/22. We went and checked it out today pre dealer pdi. Seems pretty solid. Fit and finish seem good. Nothing jumped out at me. But I wanted to let you know that the fire extinguisher is still in the same place and they haven’t done anything to the tv mount as far as being able to pull it down. No big deal for me. Also the power towers in your video have the wireless charging symbol on them. The ones in my unit do not and the table for the dinette is totally different. Not the “saw horse” style. Neither of which is a big deal. Dealer hasn’t gone thru it yet but it was pretty clean. No wood or metal shaving could be seen. Over all it was pretty spotless. So far so good on Jayco’s end. It might not meet some weird plumbing code but I think if I purchased this trailer (which is currently my #1 pick), I would get my low-rider plumber pants on, cut a few pipes and extend that 2-headed sewer piping over a bit and combine it with the other one (after purchase of course). It doesn't look like it would be too hard to do.

I really like this! We have been looking at similar models, and I like the look of this. 1. I prefer the cabinet of the Imagine with the shoe garage over the desk in this model. 2. Jayco's cup holder tables are a nice feature! 3. The hallway bath is nice, but I don't mind the pass-through bath for added space🤔 4. The color scheme is aesthetically pleasing to me as opposed to the monotone interior of some competitors. 5. In my opinion, this trumps the Alpha Wolf floor plan, but I like the Imagine XLS 23 LDE and Transcend 240 ML (although the layout is a bit different). Thanks for sharing!

What about a bigger tv above the left side of the dinette on a swivel base? Don’t like the fire extinguisher on the floor like that. Looks messy. That is an awesome spot for a litter box, love it. Yup door shades a must. I also wonder why they do not use white switches and outlets, would look so much nicer. Why no nigh-table drawer on left and right side of the bed? Agree that a TV drop-down arm would be better. Wonder if Jayco has improved the kitchen drawers(friends bought 2022 Jayco, bottom falls out of drawers in transit with utensils in them. Then their 12 volt fridge doesn't keep temp around 40degree standard, usually gets into 50s which is breeding ground for bacteria.

I've never seen a lot of historical drawer issues. I suspect based on the fact you mentioned it was 2022 there were some build issues there. It's painful to say but it's true - things weren't done as well many times during that phase They've improved since but there's still room for more improvement

Why hasn't anyone done dinette/desk convertible option? Imagine a table with a leaf at the long ends that work terrific as table for up to six and then BINGO BANGO change the ANGO, turn the same table 90 degrees and lock it to the wall to give you a great bar/desk area looking out the window that the chairs can tuck under giving you a dancefloor's worth of floor space? As a big fat guy, a small, fixed belly squeezing dinette is absolutely useless to me, but a free stander with the extra space that mostly useless desk takes up would give me the leg and belly room while in dining mode and a ton of room for cocktails and buddies to stare out the picture window and "Cheers" any passing campers or squirrels! With a LOT more room in either configuration. Cheers and thanks!

Almost a home run, Jasyco, except for the two-headed sewer dump. I don't get that. The weights/measures are fantastic for the size. The "desk" is perfect for a solo camper, even a "friendly" couple, but I'd use the ottoman somewheree else and add a chair, It's on the list, for sure! Thanks, Josh!

It's a good design because I don't like to walk all the way across the rv to bathroom from the bedroom. Agree the TV needs a drop down swivel so can be used from desk as a monitor. If your a boondocker you needs it to come with 400 watt solar because adding after the fact is real pain!! Then rhe inverter needs to be inside so you can see it.

That workstation is the best think in that model . Josh honestly how do you feel about quality of some of the larger manufacturers, especially right after the pandemic. I'll take this one over the Alpha Wolf or Imagine. It has the true 60x80 queen bed, adequate fresh water capacity and plenty of gray and black tank capacity. The bathroom has plenty of space for taking care of all your business. The desk would be useful and the ottoman would be perfect for relaxing my feet while sitting on the theater seating. The kitchen is nice sized and there is even room for a trash can. I'll be looking real hard at this one.

I love the desk and flex for liter box, not sure like it in kitchen but could work… think Id use the desk to put coffee maker and airfryer. My thoughts on this unit . 1st, the first time I walk around without shoes on I will break a toe because of where they put the fire extinguisher . 2nd why in the world would any modern trailer manufacturer NOT put factory shades in the door windows ??? That is so ridiculous , do it at the factory not as a after market " add on " that could take weeks to get !!!! All in all this seems like a great unit . I would also like if you can find the time could you show how the " new " support legs work ? Are the done one at a time with a power drill with a socket ? I have never own or used non power stabilizers so I'm curious on how they work . Great great video as always keep up the great work .

What plumming codes are preventing them from a single dump valve? Gray tabk capacity shows 61 gallons, but to get that, you have to combine the two. How are you to do this when they have 2 dump spots? This has been done for every and is done this way in our current jay flight. So what codes have changed? I think this is the only flaw to this travel trailer. However it is noce they they are right next to eachother. My first mod would be to combine the 2 myself.

I do not know specifics. I asked the product manager who asked his engineer who asked the guy who tracks coding. By the time it got back to me all I heard was "it wasn't up to code." That's all I know Seems dumb. But that's the answer I got.

I really like this one. They put storage literally everywhere possible. I honestly thought I was the only one who despised walk through bathrooms, but this is proof of concept for me. I would swap the ottoman out for a desk chair. One of the best work from camp set ups ive seen in this class. Sharing the camper, others could use the bedroom door. I like the oven where it is. It allows me to access all the drawers without opening the slide, which I would do far more often. Personal preference, I would want to swap the dinette with a hide a bed. I despise these tv positions in every model that does this. In a statement almost everyone else will disagree with, I would rather keep the bedroom the same size and go down to a short queen to have more walkable space to get dressed and move around.

I’m ’imagine-ing’ my 22MLE gives us 1-door full travel access and the recliners to boot. It’s not as large as this Jayco, but @ 2 1/2 ft shorter and 700 lb lighter unladen it’s an easier tow, even for our Titan XD. My wife and I feel like we’re in luxo mode with the space in our 22MLE so no need for bigger.

WHAT I LIKE: the desk especially with the pop up power tower (even if it is by the door because there is a second door ppl could use), the side bathroom (does the bathroom door go all the way to the top, i thought i saw a gap, would prefer a true door there if it's not), black out roller shades where they are allowed, large kitchen window, large awning, all the windows in the slide open i believe, having both a dinette and a couch, dedicated bedroom with a true queen bed, the storage that's partly in the bathroom and partly in the bedroom, the louvered vents in the ceiling, I noticed the larger fridge right away. WHAT I DON'T LIKE: the cushions in the dinette look like I made them, no fireplace, tv would be better if it dropped down, can i take the middle recliner section out and put it on the side to fill that space or just take it out as you mentioned, i would be kicking the fire extinguisher daily (its on the floor by the door and the kitchen cabinets), is tpms available, would like a laundry chute to the pass through storage below, the walls are composite i think you said, is the floor composite also

*GAP:* I think bath door has a little top-gap but I'd have to peek back thru. Operating from memory here. "The cushions in the dinette look like I made them" almost made me spit my drink btw lololol *FIREPLACE:* Love the idea but I'm just not sure where you could stuff one in this layout.. any ideas? *THEATER SEAT:* Each piece is individual but hooked together. The bath door does have a small gap at the top, not too bad. Yeah not much choice for a fireplace location other than get rid of the oven, go with a microwave/convection/air fryer combo up top and put the fireplace under the cook top. Might not be the ideal spot but pretty much the only spot. I would still rather have the fireplace though.@@JoshtheRVNerd

Just curious about where the radio 📻 is located in the RV. My husband and I have watched the video several times in slow mode but were unable to catch where it is located. We are thinking that it is in one of the cabinets near the TV 📺.

Thinking about road mode access, if the corridor to the bedroom were on the camp side rather than the slide side, the desk and dinette were tetrissed along to meet the kitchen benches, removing the rear entry door then sliding the bedroom door along to be a single entry in the corridor or further into the living area, would that work? I guess that’s just a different layout. There’s probably already things out there like that.

Very, very nice little “bird” !!!!!! I hope to have a chance to see it at the North East RV shows coming up! Love the different steps … they paid attention to the bed room one to keep It cleaner! Love the kitchen! Love the storage and the fact the dinette is not on a slide! Love the little desk spot! But… why is the fire extinguisher in that position??? Looks in the way to trip over and eat space to stand while prepping the food!!!?????? I guess they couldn’t find a better spot 😞 The bedroom looks nice and the bathroom is my favorite! Hey Josh got a question as I am pondering travel trailers. Some have the A frame tied directly into the main frame while others mount it below the main frame. Has anyone documented the failure rate of either mounting and is there any advantages to either way? Oh and is Bishes going to be at Battle Creek’s show? Thx for all you do?

I cut my teeth on Jayco in this business. They often talked about their integrated A-Frame. In speaking with their own engineers I was told plainly "there's really no difference in strength. We just do it this way." But.. I actually do feel Integrated A-Frames function better for a few reasons. You actually lower the center of gravity for the RV. Better towing. Lower overall height. And while I do not have hard data on frame failures thinking about the documented cases of which I am aware the common trend does seem to be stacked tongue/frame settings...

Hi Josh, this looks like a very interesting floorplan. I looked at the specs for this model and it is stated that it can sleep up to 6 people but my assumption is that the dinette could likely only hold 2 younger children and likely not two adults. Would I be correct in assuming this or could it hold two average sized adults as well? I'm looking to downsize my Jayco 287bhs but still would like the option to sleep up to six adults so this could potentially work for us if the dinette is wide enough. Any thoughts?

Couples RV's always lack one thing...closet space! If they put the bed in a slide, they could add a chest of drawers on the opposite wall to the bed slide and eliminate the bedroom door, then put a full size closet in the nose! We have a 35' Flagstaff with this setup, but would love a 30' with a similar setup! This would fit the bill if it had this bedroom setup!

I like the bigger fridge with the glass front. I like the white cabinets in the bedroom. I would get a 50 amp one with 2nd air conditioner in the bedroom. The storage in both is amazing. The big pantry, the closets and cabinets in the bathroom, and the closet and drawers in the bedroom. Thanks

I really like this layout. I wonder if they could move the bathroom to the other side so your walkway between the living room and bedroom would be behind the dinette. It might not be the best as you would have to juke right then left but you would have that whole campside open and you could even add in another window along the "hallway". Or maybe, instead of the dinette, it could be a bar style table with a couple of chair looking out of the window.

The other drawback would be that it would shift some more weight to the driver's side. With the heavy slide on the left already, moving the whole bath would exacerbate that balance. I suspect it would result in some lean that way.

What is the plumbing code issue?! Is this specific to one state or the state it's manufactured in? Plenty of other trailers have everything coming out of one outlet.

I didn't fully understand as I'm not a code expert but it wasn't due to a single vs. dual outlet but rather due to something being plumbed out the back so something else couldn't link up to something else It seemed kinda stupid but.. I guess that's how it is?

This model definitely gets an A+ for storage and while I'd prefer a walkthrough bathroom, not everyone agrees. A few things though: Is that fire extinguisher actually laying on the floor or is it mounted there? Observation: Having the fuse box in the bedroom is a really bad idea; they get noisy on hot days and it looks hard to get to. Also, I personally dislike stable steps as they just hoist dirt and water into your trailer, but why do they mix and match step types? Can you optionally get a folding step for the entrance instead?

Oh you mean the exterior entry direct into the bedroom? I've had a few folks mention that to me. It has a deadbolt like the main door btw but I know that's not quite enough peace of mind for some people. I'm estimating by your screen name you're a solo lady traveler.
