Awesome demo. Thank you for using the actual mic the whole time. And a very succinct review.

Sound was better when Jonas pulled the mic out of his shirt. And the wind screen was rubbing. Does the wind screen come off? Usually when I go in to the shirt like that I tape it in with gaffer tape and that eliminates the rubbing. I do like that you can pull two channels into a single receiver. That's handy. I could definitely use that. -M

It does come off - but it doesn't come off as easily as other brands. Hard to explain why not, it's just really tight. It's a pretty bulky windscreen I might add.

Great review. Love how you can have two separate tracks for two transmitters. I've been using the Rode wireless and they are pretty bulky as well. And thanks for the link in the description. Made it very easy to look into it. --Henry

It's my biggest issue when I shoot mainly dslr - what to do when I have an interview with an expert. I've done a lot of work-arounds, but this is a great solution. I suppose it depends a lot on how high-pressure the situation is. It's a perfect solution though for the low pressure stuff. R

This microphone is perfect for me, I can use it during the interview.

This is a great option that doesn't break the bank! I have a similar set up with SAMONIC... might even be the same manufacturer! I have 2 transmitters and a receiver and find so many times they've saved me when I have two people live on location. I think a kit like this is a MUST for the run & gun filmmakers.

When you talk at the same time, the voice is very clear and this microphone seems worth buying.

They sound compressed and tinny to me, more suitable for PA (speaking, not singing). Is there a setting for audio processing? Edit: Could be too high a level going into the camera.
@robnelsonfilms5 жыл бұрын
I think you nailed it. The sound quality is a bit more tinny than other lavs.

You guys are great. I really enjoyed the polar bear episode (I'm only 45 min from the NC Zoo). Thanks for the review on the Comica Wireless system. Might be worth a buy.

Thanks. Turns out, that was using this comica mic as well...

I just purchased the Comica external mics and I am trying to create videos from my Google pixel 2 XL phone - while interviewing someone. The audio is not coming through on my video and in the instructions it say a "third-party app" for audio may be required for some androids. I don't know which to look into and therefore don't appreciate the extra app step. It could be my phone is the issue?

Thanks for the review! Have you heard anything from Comica to explain what the "freak out" moments with the mic were about? As far as build quality, it looks like they also make the mics with metal bodies for about $100 more. Do you think it would be worth the upgrade?
@robnelsonfilms5 жыл бұрын
I didn't ask yet. I'll look into it. As far as the metal bodies... hmm. For the price point, I think it's worth testing out the electronics for a year or so on plastic. See if those hold up. If it's rock solid, then it might be worth a future upgrade. I wouldn't say lighter is bad.

Anything like this for GoPro’s? How can someone that primarily uses a GP6 or GP7 do the same?

What is the power supply for the microphone? AA battery? Built-in lithium battery?
@UntamedScience5 жыл бұрын
AA batteries.

Yeah, you have been using it for a week, is the power consumption of the microphone so low?
@robnelsonfilms5 жыл бұрын
The power consumption is pretty low. Generally I go through two AA batteries a day with lavs and I would be willing to say these were more charged after the end of a full day of shooting.

Two receivers and one transmitter, this price is really very affordable.
