It is very important to use them between the cement board and the tile so the tiles do not crack when the floor moves. Schluter systems have a number of products. Don’t skip this step.

Sharkbite fitting are known to not hold well. In my state they are not allowed to be used in a home. Or any closed wall. With our pex we use the expanding bands.

Having done tile so many times im 60 & my dad put himself through college and did it as a side business. We never put mortar down under the durock. If you need to fix something you are going to have to take up the subfloor now not just the tile and dureck. Its not necessary to motar it. Ehen you unscrew the durock it will now tear up the subfloor. Good for you getting the adjustable bed. I love mine. ❤❤

My adjustable bed is wonderful but every morning i would have to remake the full bed because the top sheet wouldn't stay in place. I solved the problem by adding fabric to the bottom of the sheet. I quilt and had a bolt of white cotton so i cut fabric for the width of the sheet. This gave me two strips so i was able to do two top sheets (fabric is 45 inches wide so cut it in half down the length and you have two strips at 22 1\2 inches). Just make sure that if your bed is in the adjusted position and there is a power failure it automatically goes flat. Found out the hard way my electric recliner doesn't. Good video would have been me with a bad hip and lousy balance getting myself out of that chair! It is now plugged into a battery pack so if the power goes out i am not trapped!

There’s something I don’t understand is why the floors are being put down before insulating the walls? Don’t you normally finish the walls out before the floor?

Floors are being done because it is the logical step to take. Working my way up. Insulation can be swept if it gets messy which it shouldn’t. If it insulation fibers drop on an unfinished floor it would be so much harder to clean up. My floors are down and will be sealed before any insulation is installed.
