Post apocalyptic costume making - tire armor tutorial

Basic tutorial for making tire armor for your post apocalyptic costume! With this method I'm using EVA-foam for a base and adding cross bike tires, creating lightweight tire armor with a heavy look.
Materials used:
- bike tires of your choice - new or used
- minimum 7 mm eva-foam, use black or grey so you don't have to prime/plasti dip it if you don't want to
- contact cement glue
- acetone/degreaser
- plasti dip or any liquid rubber paint spray (optional)
Tools:
- heatgun
- boxcutter and /or scissors
- pencil
- wire cutter
- cloth rags and/or cotton balls
- foam scraps or gluebrush
Safety gear:
- respirator for gluing and optional plastidip spraying
Respirator or die!
...and always wash those dirty hands before you stick them in your mouth ;)

Not really but I'm sometimes referring to it as that as I fake a heavier look like that of a thicker tire 😊

Yes of course, you an basically do a base for whatever armor pieces you like using this technique. I mostly make a base of EVA-foam covered in fabric for chest pieces and attach stuff to it.
