Well the turkey has gone, the family is sleeping time to plan my 2025 getaways - the one at the end of this really shocked me

great to catch up. i have been ill since i got back from Paris in November, managed to pick up virus and chest infection. It hasnt put me off travelling...this year is my biggest travel year ever! February, off to Barvaria, May Austrian Lake district, June Cornwall, September french rivera and december disneyland Paris. except for cornwall, they are all coach trips. I dont drive and travel solo (except disney) so it is nice to have everything done for you and to see places i can only dream about. Expensive ish, but i book 2 years in advance and pay a little bit every month so it doesnt feel so bad. Thw single supplements are nasty but most meals are included and i make the coach journey from home the start of holiday, even if the drag back north on way home can be exhausting.

Hope you are on the mend, sounds like some great plans. We’re off to Stockholm and krakow next month as a good start to the year and hoping to take my mum to Athens in March so I’m definitely on my way travel wise - I’d love to try a bit of solo travel but the kids won’t let me

Hi Ian, just quick query, as I am looking at Vietnam in April, which website is your recommendation for Flights or hotels?

@@johnfagan3489 hi John my technique is to use google flights to find the cheapest days to fly by entering origin and destination but no dates and I then scan the dates in the months I fancy to find the cheapest dates I then enter those dates into something like Expedia as a package so I at least get Atol protection, on long haul some of the airlines themselves offer reasonable packages (I like British airways) in these cases you get full ABTA cover as well. I’m going to put together a free leaflet for people at some point - too busy with day job - thanks for comment
