Most welcome 🤗 You shouldn’t keep cystiene treated hair wet for too long, in my experience the treatment would last you longer if you blow dry it soon after hair wash.

hi.. i am not very comfortable with blowdrying my hair. I usually toweldry / natural air dry. Will that be okya for the long term lasting of this treatment? Also we can use any shampoo which is sulhphate and paraben free irrespective of the brand? those budgeted shampoos (free of sulpahte and paraben)too?

Hello, yes you can use any sulphate and paraben free shampoo/conditioner. It’s okay to towel or natural dry your hair won’t affect your treatment. I always prefer to dry my hair once washed and for me I feel the hair stays manageable for a long time after the treatment keeping it dry from water. However, won’t affect the length of your treatment

I use the Wella Luxeoil hair serum. However, any hair serum should be fine. I usually apply it just on the days of my hair wash.

Hi Naomi. It’s not necessary however if you do trim a little it’ll make your hair look healthier since split ends become more evident after a hair straightening treatment

You can put this anti-dandruff shampoo called Ketomac. You will get it in most pharmacies. It has helped me with my dandruff after my treatment too. When your in the shower, damp your hair abd only apply this on your scalp, leave it on for 10-15 min and wash off normally. Then you can use your cysteine shampoo conditioner normally and wash.

After hair wash at home, is it necessary a blow dry to have the straight look maintained?if we Natural dry n comb won't it look flat?

Not necessary to blow dry but your treatment will last longer if you do, since you are keeping it from staying damp for a long time. And nope, it won’t look flat if you choose to naturally dry your hair.

Hey, there’s no permanent benefit since your new hair that grows from your roots will be your natural hair. However your hair that is cystiene treated will remain frizz free for a pretty long time if you take care of them.

Hi Prachi, I would not suggest egg mask atleast 3 months post treatment. Blow-dry your hair upside down after your hair wash to create volume and bounce.

1. No dear it won’t add volume but won’t reduce it or make it flat either. I too had thin and wavy hair. You can always use a volume spray for additional volume. 2. It’s not mandatory, but it’s always better since the treatment will not wear off fast. You can blast dry your hair with cold air so no damage.

Hi dear, cysteine will be a good treatment for you. I had extremely dry and thin hair as well. After this treatment I’ve not missed my old hair for even a day. The only thing is cysteine (or any other hair treatment) requires good maintenance, if that’s taken care of, hair remains very shiny & healthy.

Apply hair masks to strengthen your hair, try changing your shampoo and conditioner if you feel like that doesn’t suit your hair, make sure your scalp is clean and free from any build up. Oil your hair with warm coconut-olive-castor mix and leave it on for 30-40 min and and wash your hair. Do this twice a week. When I had hairfall, doing this had really helped my hair.

Hair fall doesn’t necessarily happen because of these treatments, the reasons are usually very different. It could be diet, the products used, genetics or something else.

Baby shampoo’s are very mild, I would not suggest them since they may not cleanse your scalp as required. Your treatment will last you longer the lesser you wash your hair. If you feel your scalp doesn’t get greasy and you are comfortable washing your hair once a week, that’s fine.

However many adults use baby shampoo as well. If you have used baby shampoo before and it removes product build up for you, you can go ahead.

Hey Ally, i did cysteine treatment after watching ur video. Just wanted to ask for how long you didn't tie ur hair after the treatment? Bcos I hav noticed whnvr i tie my hair the straight look somewhere gets away. And also the hair dresser asked me to don't tie for atleast a month. I would avoid tying my hair in any tight hairstyles. Hair clips or loose bands are always better as they leave no waves. Your scalp may be getting oily for 2 reasons: 1. You may have residue of products/build up on your scalp. Clean your scalp throughly with a clarifying shampoo. 2. Sulphate free shampoos don't contain sulfur which usually other shampoos contain. Sulphur is known for stripping your scalp off any oils also the good natural oils and making your scalp and hair very dry. When you start using sulfate free products, you may feel your scalp producing oil which earlier it wouldn't. That's normal for your hair getting used to a new routine and products.
