I genuinely really like this ending. Of course, it’s not a happy ending. But it’s a cold reminder of what you’ve done. I mean why should YOU. The person who killed all of monster kind out of complete selfishness and curiosity, be given a happy ending? And that’s what I love about Chara, they’ll always be here to make sure you know what you’ve committed in the past. No matter how much you reset, there will always be this constant reminder of the terrible things you’ve done.

I always wondered how Chara got Sans in that ending. Did they kill him first so they didn't have to fight him when you know blasters go brrr? Or did they make him watch them killing everyone?

I personally think that in the post genocide pacifist ending, the red marks don’t mean that chara kills them in this ending, but it is a reminder to the player of what you’ve done to every single of those characters and that they’re still there even if you’ve reset the game.
