POST HOOKS GOT "BUFFED" NBA 2K25 SEASON 3!

I really know the mindset with timing hook shots, I’ve never been able to time any throughout most 2ks. I also really feel like post scoring took a major dip since the middle of season 1. Post fades were so fun as well as the hof and legend drop stepping badges. Now it’s like everyone just wants a sliver of space to get an open rp % layup

It's gonna take a more drastic change to make post hooks worth using. I think they either need to change the release point to something that makes sense, or add the layup meter to hooks.

@@KyleS.1987 yeah I think hooks are cooked in this game. It's not like shooting where your only option to get a 3 is to shoot a jumpshot. There are so many ways to get a 2 pointer and hook shots just aren't the most effective way. Even when it makes the most sense to do one you might as well go to something else

@@TonicKeyboard Instead of hooks, I've started using a post step-away into a standing floater. Way more reliable, and it kinda even looks like a hook!

I really dislike the rng shooting. Last year I’d shoot 100% every other game. Bad defense should not be rewarded. Screw the realism!! I wanna make the shots I know I should!

It’s weird that post hooks aren’t effective because the way layups and close shots work in this game usually if the ball isn’t smothered on the release there is a high chance it goes in.

@ yea I like to think 2k did it this way because of the lack of consistent interior defense in the game so taking away one aspect of interior scoring was their way somewhat countering that.
