I have very healthy lunches, work out and still feel wiped out. you're not designed to work 40h a week, less hours and you'd see energy levels improve

I think that performance without eating depends on whether one has been fasting from the meal for considerable number of days. Suspect that a person who is used to fasting from meals can derive energy from fats easily and is hence not as prone to being tired. Personally I have done it and I feel fine.

i used to skip lunch and only have 1 meal a day which is dinner, i never had any sluggishness during or after the lunch hour besides just feeling hungry. If anything my attention and focus became better whenever i skipped lunch.

Try not to have extremely heavy lunches during workday lunches; when I mean by extremely heavy it’s those that induce the food coma effect. Drink lots of warm water in the morning and 30 min before lunch. This keeps you hydrated and minimises over eating. I personally feel rice leads to more food coma so I stick to salads, soups, noodles etc. Should one want to eat rice, stick to brown rice which is fistful with more vegetables and side dishes. Taking a walk after lunch and mini 10min breaks are helpful in beating that snooze if you are working in the office. If you work from home nothing Beats a 30 min power nap

3 macro nutrient: protein, carb, and fat. carb and protein make you sleepy, so what do you eat? 25% carb 25% protein, 50% more carb and sugar in a form of vegetable and fruit great idea

Don't eat carby meals during lunch. The glucose crash only happens when you had sugary drinks or carby meals. If you don't eat those foods, you won't get any slump.

Don’t have this issue. I normally eat hainan chicken rice /curry laksa / nasi lemak basically no restrictions for lunch. But I don’t eat at 12pm. Either eat before noon or after 1pm. Anyway, everyone has different tolerance level to insulin. Well try mopping the floor after lunch.

Tryptophan is found in a wide variety of protein-containing foods, including eggs, cheese, meat (especially turkey), fish, wheat, rice, potatoes, and bananas. Since tryptophan must be ingested in food, the WHO has set a typical recommended daily intake for tryptophan at 4 mg/kg of body weight.

well haha still get tired. I can sustain a 32 h week of work only just like anyone else. all my coworkers are tired and complain they are tired. anyone not tired is someone who sits in meetings all day long and does little work
