Uh, he grew up in Grapevine, TX. Pretty sure it’s in his blood. What about all the Aussies and Canadians that scored country hits? If country is in your blood (no matter your background, you’re country!)

As a person in their 60s, I remember the "Old" Country and Western days. I grew up listening because of my parents. This sounds like the music I grew up with, more than anything I hear today.

A word to all those who say this isn't country: If you heard this on the radio and didn't realize it was Post Malone, you would be raving about it. I'm a diehard country fan, and that first song he did was country through and through. So get down off your high horse, guys. Perhaps you're worried that Post is rednecker than you.

He is really talented. He also did a really good cover of a Hootie and the Blowfish classic "Only Wanna Be With You" Give that one a listen

I love Post Malone and have for a long time. I think he belongs wherever he wants to be! This song is so amazing and is reminiscent of 70s-80s country!

I used to listen to the Country Music Countdown on AFN here in Frankfurt, Germany in the 70s and I loved the songs. 🥰

Never heard of Post Malone before, but I really appreciate his respect for the traditional country vibe. Knowing that he wrote this song and he has very traditional musical backup shows he also appreciates what he has chosen to do. Less enamored with the 2nd song - falls into pop country that I am less happy with. Never Love You Again could be from any of the old greats.

I really appreciate your comments and reaction to this video and your interest in Post Malone going country. Country Music has accepted into the family, so very many talented artists from other genres. Love Post Malone, country star!

The filth that I hear coming from cars passing today is criminal. I am so worried about what it is doing to young people today. Post Malone has a huge following and his change of genre will hopefully pull some of his fans back to reality. He has a real talent for country. It is refreshing to see real talent instead of the manufactured so-called music being played today.

The ACM big wigs and Nashville big wigs are all subbing Morgan. They even refused to allow him to put up a sign at his new bar in Nashville. Morgan is top dog right now and he has brought new people to the genre. REal sad. That was Kane Brown at the end. Awesome country singer.

I’m becoming a huge Posty fan!! His son w/Blake Shelton is another hit just like the one w Morgan. Also, watch coverage of him behind the scenes. Him & Blake are both huggers so I love watching them. And him showing so much respect to Joe Diffee’s grandson giving him a hat that belonged to his grandpa. He seems like such a nice guy!!

Me listening growing up tomorrow haggard. Hank Williams, Charlie pride. You get it this hits right in with the original country music and New Orleans Allen Jackson George Strait, that's where it stopped being real country. Those were the last originals. This is a throw back to the 60s. And 70s. This guy has an outstanding voice. Wow, what a range.

It would be nice if the Academy and CMA also were anything but political. If you don’t bow down to the religion of the industry, then you’re out. Love Post and this song is amazing but heaven forbid he doesn’t tow their line. As Trace Adkins has said, the reason he’s never been one of the favorites is because he “doesn’t play well with others.” In other words, he won’t kiss their a$$es. I don’t watch these shows anymore.
