I understand the frustration, but this isn't FIFA23.56. The game had 3 headlines: 1. Slow to warm up; 2. 27 shots on goal; and 3. Ref giving NO Pen (again). Team was slow to warm-up, still 60% possession, but with "Martial" still made the chances I would have played Elanga from the start, so the 'general' selection was fine (Ole's Job) esp. giving minutes and chances to fringe squad players. I would have played Jones instead of Bailey...OH yes. I know it's easy to jump on the cry-baby bandwagon of Ole out. We tried "Others" in and the three Musketeers = Moyes/Van Gaal/Moan-I-Know-----failed. So, stick with what we have and let's try and get behind the CLUB.

That's the way Alex Ferguson done it. He just used to delegate and galvanise the players. Fergie had simple tactics. 4-4-2 holding midfielders who had amazing passing ability who could pick out a pass for the wingers. Difference was the intensity at that time. Wingers and the striker were always bombing forward. The intensity was crazy. It was attack attack attack. Second striker used to drop deep sometimes and play off other players.

The holistic perspective could be that we may be dependent on them. My perspective is you're playing a knockout tournament. Even if you don't play your big guns like Varane, Maguire, Shaw, Pogba and Ronaldo, you still play a few big guns to ensure the win. He could've easily played Greenwood with Lingard and Sancho. @@grey_north9016 fredericks goes past Telles which forces Lindelof out of position. So Van de beek as to leave his man to cover Bowen cause if not its an easy pass. But the ball is deflected to Lanzini which resulted in the goal. I dont see how VDB is at fault here. He has to cover for Lindelof and get in front of the striker to prevent a free strike. Bailey’s behind Bowen so theres nothing he can do here

Ole is the right manager, what he says here isn't what he is thinking, people need to realise that these press conferences do not reflect what he thinks. I bet Martial doesn't feature much at all until the end of the season, listen to Ole's actions not what he says in these conferences.

Greenwood is a completely changed player from his debut, even if he was scoring goals, he was never really that great on the ball. Now he's one of our best players. Takes time to adapt to prem/English football as a young player.
