One of the Lionesses said that Sarina was the missing link the team needed to become what they are. Just shows how its UK team management and coaching that is the weakest link NOT the players. (With apologies to Anne Robinson). Lessons for Southgate on how to do the job although in fairness he did get them to the Euros final last year. But England men's team are no Wold Cup winners unlike the Lionesses.

The song is “It’s Coming Home” and FA officials thought it sounded arrogant. But I thought they ended up not banning it. Sort of silly since it’s an older song from like 1996 and has been sung at England matches in the past.

@@nmikloiche I mean okay but it's called Three Lions not It's Coming Home. I think they're referring to whether it'll be 'banned' in Qatar due to its meaning being misinterpreted. There's no doubt there's an element of arrogance among English supporters (as an England supporter this annoys me) but the song is the exact opposite of arrogance. It's about regret and hope, not hubris.

There was no penalty Reza. Sorry. Read the laws. Its only a penalty when the referee awards one. And neither she, the assistant referee or VAR saw what you allege happened. And oddly enough none of the German players saw it either... 🙄 And just because you get awarded a penalty doesn't mean it means a goal will be scored.

An undeserved win. Firstly, it was a clear handball by Williamson in the first half and the VAR supposedly saw nothing, very dubious. Secondly, Germany could not play with the strongest lineup, is unfortunate, but we would have won with it for sure. And lastly, England played dirty and wasted a lot of time. Germany have always been physical and try to bully teams. Oberdorf is a brilliant player but spends too much time on that side of her game. Yes Germany missed Popp but surely a team like them who have a proven record down the years have a player to replace her? England played Germany at their own game and they, and their sour (kraut) fans , didn’t like it. Learn to be humble in defeat? Germany will come again because they are one of the top teams in the world. Other nations are catching up with the top teams so competition is going to get stronger and that is good for the womens game.

Oh look its a salty Kraut who has been on YT 2 months peddling their usual sour grapes because they didn't win what they thought was theirs. But the diving came from the Germans. * There was no 'elbow check' it was an accident. Of course the German player took a theatrical dive over it. * There is VAR in every major tournament and has been for some time. Try to keep up Alex. * Be careful raising the nationality of the referee. She made mistakes as all referees do but they never favoured one side as the yellow cards showed. In the first half she was criticised for the yellow cards issued to English players when video footage showed some vicious play from Overdorp and others. * What you call 'time play' is called 'game management'. Its what Germany do to exaggeration when they are leading in the last few minutes. Pot / Kettle much? Anyway Alex you lost, get over it and see you in the World Cup. When you will lose again.
