I have wondered for 30 years what would be done in this very situation with the absence of an emergency spillway and I have my answer now (pumps). Thanks for posting this and please keep it up. It's sort of a once in a lifetime opportunity to see all these structures put to the test.

I was told that water was being released from the Medard Reservoir. Nothing is said here about interrupting traffic. That's what we wish to know

It's like sucker punching people in the jaw after they are already doubled over from a left field punch! They needed to handle their business prior to the hurricane! Same thing happened in Asheville NC wo any warning!

The reservoir was about to overflow and the road had a wash out. That’s why the road closed

Flooded my home on the Alafia River because of this.
