What I love about this show is how informative it is and the way they keep the big fish in the net while unhooking it. Way to lead by example on proper fish handling. Unlike other shows where the anglers hold up the fish and yap for two minutes. Thanks for a great vid, guys. Keep crushing 'em ;)

Thanks for your fish handling techniques, leaving the fish in the net and in the water while unhooking them. I see to many amateur videos with folk mishandling fish. So seeing the Pro's teaching proper fish handling is still a very important lesson to get out to the public. Easier and safer for the fish and the fisherman to leave them in the net in the water. Thanks.

I was watching this yesterday morning and wondering where you guys found such a nice place this late in the season....DERP!!! I caught it on tv mid-episode, I love it when you guys are up fishing in shield country. I used to go to the Boundary Waters a lot in my teens and twenties a LOOONG time ago, and have been scheming for a way to get back every since! We used to come across gators like these early in the summer/late May sunning themselves in shallow bays. They were a pretty easy mark with a large balsa Rapala Minnow- though we learned after our first trip to take 4-5 with us, they'd get destroyed by the end of the week! Pretty exciting fishing from a canoe!

Used the BX minnows a lot this summer and caught a ton of fish, my only negative on it was after a few nice fish the hooks would come off from the lure.

+Jonas Hamrah for big pike i always use a 7' medium heavy spinning rod.....that extra backbone is nice for the real big ones

Do you guys think that this recent snow in MN could ruin ice conditions for the rest of the year?

hey boys ik im stupid for asking this but y are most of those fish all banged up??
@InDepthOutdoorsTV9 жыл бұрын
+newyorkairsofter The fish were still pretty banged up from the spawn. If you've ever seen pike spawning in shallow water you'll have no problem visualizing how those fish get that beat up.

+InDepthOutdoorsTV I havent really seen that because in the part of New York that i live we really dont have Pike or musky

To fish in unmolested waters full of big pike. This does not exist in Michigan. You guys are catching fish that have never seen an artificial lure before. Lucky bastards.
