POST STUDY or WORK VISA?? What would you do?

I agree that a post-study visa is flexible, but it can only be a choice of last resort. A man with three children and a wife must think twice about raising about £12000, for a visa that doesn't count towards your ILR. Start-up Visas and for PhD graduates, global talents are as flexible and free as post-study or Doctorate Extension, but they are better because they still count towards your ILR. Advise people to explore these visas earlier, because they need a process that takes time and achievements.

I do 48 hours a week. My contract hours are 37 and 11 hours over time .

The flexibility that comes with post study can not be overemphasised😊😊 I'm grateful for the route... because that mentality of wasting 2yrs ehn, now i know better😂😂its not a waste kankan because d ifokanbale that comes with post study ehn, there's no tie tie to one employer headache😅.... But the question is what next? Except you plan to leave the UK or get the promising visa for 3 year, asides that you must still fall back to the 5 years sponsorship route.

Please watch videos to understand or you read to understand 🙏 It's was clearly stated to use your post study years well so you can get sponsorship in your desired field and not just any field! Except you don't have plans and you want to follow the crowd, then goodluck to you.... it was clearly mentioned that it's 2yrs and not forever route, so plan well and enter sponsorship in layman English. Honestly. I don’t support this totally. Depends on your company. I know someone with COs in care who gets more than 60 hours weekly 44 fixed. The rest on overtime. And she is saving properly. So it’s not written in the stone. PSW helps if you can’t get a job within your school time frame. But if you get a job. Please go for COs. You can use your spare time to develop yourself. And if you are in NHs where you can jump careers … better. I have seen care assistants in NHS become data analysts within same NHS

The problem is the cost. For example, I have 3 dependants and I'm still uncertain on how to raise 12K for post study between now and December

You and your spouse should join a cooperative, and get enough introductory loans. You get to pay back gradually for 5yrs.

After post study you will still need to be sponsored that is the head ache. Post study is just for two years.

@Ruthieeluv use your post study years to gather experience and plan yourself well, relocate if that's what will work for you, but don't waste those years... its still sponsorship but don't just get tied to any employer that's not worth it. E go be✌️

PSW is okay but let us be truthful, how many companies are giving sponsorship now based on your profession. Uk are employing more of dere citizens now. I work in an energy company with a very good salary..most vacancies are occupied now by uk citizens with little or no experience.

Who told you care workers etc do not make money? Your knowledge is obviously limited. Please stop giving wrong info. Both forms of leave are beneficial in different ways.

You are right. Everyone makes money, including care workers. However, each individual's definition of making money is different. What you call money is not money to others.
