Isn’t Utica Cutco the parent company on KaBar company?
@WildBlueYondertpar Жыл бұрын
For Kabar it's the Union Cutco Company Olean NY. No connection to Utica Cutlery.

Can you help me? I have a knife labelled "KA-BAR" on one side of the blade and "USMC" on the other side. It's been sharpened to the point where it's starting to look like a fillet knife. The guard is swept back and has no stampings on it. There is no "Mk2" or "USN" stamps anywhere. The handle appears to be cork. The pommel cap is 3/8" thick and appears to be pinned on. It appears to be quite old and is still held together very well, nothing wiggles like some old knives do.

How about Ontario (Ontario 498)?
@WildBlueYondertpar2 жыл бұрын
Ontario was first awarded a military contract to make the 498, in the 80's. It is not a Vietnam era knife.
