I didnt know the community had any hate towards them, in fact on other socials everyone tends to dick ride them into oblivion over nothing, praising them for just breathing or making the same played out “postal 3 bad” joke for the millionth time. I personally think the company has been a lot lamer since mike J took over who just isnt anywhere near as funny or talented as vince was, but other than that i dont see any reason to hate them, did they do some shit im unaware of besides just kinda falling off?

The source engine P3 uses is pretty outdated, you can't even mount it in Garry's mod. But other than that yeah, Unreal Engine 2 is a bit older than Source so it can be argued if this is a Remake or Demake. I personally prefer the term Remake despite using a slightly older engine for our project, mostly because we are not downgrading the models etc. we are trying to sqeeze as much as possible from UE2 to make it as pleasing to look at as possible.

Started playing this series last fall with the og, 2, 4, and brain dead. I watched the movie which I loved, and learned about Vince and everyone at RWS. It's great to see such a down-to-earth dev studio with such a committed fanbase and I wish more game studios could follow RWS's example of being there for fans. Seeing this mod is insane and I would love to finally give postal 3 a chance!

Well, you aren't. There are currently two projects aiming to make a better Postal 3 (ours and Catharsis Reborn) and there were many others before that unfortunately didn't made it. If there were no people believing this these projects wouldn't exist.

​​@@jhj22It's a game of my childhood, I even tried modding it once since it's on UE2 but turns out there are some issues with exporting and importing assets, so basically custom maps is best one could do, yet I cannot find any on the web. I guess the game is just way too obscure. Still it had really interesting mechanics and digging into it helped me with creating objective system (as mentioned in the dev blog) I even tried porting the helicopter boss but it turned out pretty badly due to the difference between outdated P2 engine and more recent version of it used in Devastation haha. I'm happy there is someone who also played it.

Buen trabajo, este mod es Postal 3 pero bien hecho, aunque para Vince Desi fue muy triste ser la secuela espiritual de Sonic 2006, realmente quería un juego de calidad para sus fans, tenían en sus manos el Source Engine que usa Valve en sus juegos, era un juego con mucho potencial podria haber sido un buen juego pero debido a muchos problemas en su desarrollo debido a la crisis que sufrio Rusia en 2008, muchos despidos de empleados, Akella no le dio el codigo a running with scissors para arreglar el juego y las malas decisiones al final se convirtió en la burla de su saga y sera la peor entrada postal aunque bueno el postal 3 original no es canon en la saga tenemos mucho mejor en nuestras manos el DLC de Postal 2: Paradise Lost, la continuación real de postal 2 y el verdadero postal 3 Saludos desde México 🇲🇽
