Now often times the user of this device is going to have a tight heal cord and the heal may want to lift out of that but the shoe is what’s going to hold them in by forcing them into position. If that’s not enough, the orthotist can also ask for additional medial and lateral controls such as these midfoot wings , or these super malleoli cuffs that are designed to hold the ankle in better medial and lateral position.
