Press conference was 10000 times more entertaining than the actual game

In retrospect, the amazing thing is, we only lost by 6 points. As terrible as we played, we still could have won this game. I listened on the radio, and the announcers were perplexed as to why we didn't foul in the last couple minutes of the game because SC was not hitting their free throws. I hate to say it, but it sounded like Mick gave up on his team.

At 7:34 Mick is talking about overcoming what you lost. Arizona last year lost three starters. "We" did two things. Recruiting through portal and commits and actually developing the younger guys while the older guys play. Ballo and Pelle are prime examples of that. Ballo sat behind Koloko and got better and Pelle was benched last year and took the opportunity to get better. It is not just simply oh my recruits are all young. UCLA may not have tons of NIL but your brand is massive and you should be able to develop and recruit.

Need to coach the players that you have... not who you wish you had... you need to be more humble as well, coach

I mean, give this roster to 97 percent of college coaches today, and they do worse. Our defense carries us, holding a team averaging 80 recently to 62 is pretty good. In todays day and age, college fans have to pay in order for their team to be good. Donate to Men of Westwood to get the offensive guys you want, and let Cronin deal with the defense. Just my two cents.

@@andrewpringle7087I really respect Coach. I think the game was fixed. UCLA plays way better than what they did tonight. I think he wanted to save his counterparts' job. If this theory is valid, it makes sense to what we saw tonight. Mick has already proven himself, and now he's shown he can be charitable, and that took alot of guts. Hats off to you, coach.

Hats off to a fixer!?? Reelee?? Cronin should be Fired for fixing games not commended! What's happening to society if people think crime suspects should be elevated as coach?

Cronin's pressers are always epic. This one, transcends most. "I am going to hate myself. The only one I will talk to tonight is my dog." Simply epic.

UCLA does not play as a team neither do they have good individual players. Please enough wit Bona ! Dylan Andrew thinks too much when shooting the ball. To improve his free throws all Sebastian Mack has to do, is back up a little bit from the foul line since he has the tendency to shoot them too long hitting the back rim . I do not understand why the coaching staff do not see this! Against Utah I do not understand Mick Cronin defensive strategy with 6 seconds left? He knew that the ball was going to end up into Deivon Smith hand which he got totally unguarded by not having 2 players surrounding him to try to deny him the ball, and also during Utah’s time out to insert Mara at 7’3 to oppose the 7 footer Carlson for the rebound after Deivon Smith wild missed shot that Bona helped create. At 6’7 Stefanovic which fronted Carlson down low had no chance for that rebound that Carlson grabbed over his head!

These comments are soft af! I love Mick and he is a great coach. Poor performance from the team. Andrew’s was off, Lazar was ok, Mack couldn’t do much and Bona had foul problems. What did we think was gonna happen. Stop acting like Mick can go be on the floor and score.

Save the clichés. Save the obvious. This team has no character, no outstanding talent, theyre mentally weak. You have a raucous sold out crowd and you play with no maturity. Yet again a Ucla player hit an opposing player. Thugness is not accepted at Pauley, ok. That was the season folks.

Have to make shots. A simple basketball fundamental. I don't see an effort problem. You should have suspended Sebastian. He didn't just raise his arm up. He attacked the Utah player. It has affected the team attitude.

@@richardthelionheart5594 ... I played a lot of competitive basketball. It's a part of the game. You don't retaliate like that... especially out in the open. What Mack did was close to assault.

@@hansgordy Actually it's a full on battery. It cost us the game even tho Coach denies that is the case. He's a curious player. Terrible outside shooter whose forte is driving and collecting fouls. But he is very inconsistent at the foul line. Last game he was good/decent. Two previous games he missed a bunch in a row at crunch time.

Inexcusable performance. None ! Mack should transfer out. Hes a thug. Bona has no basketball i.q. none. Andrews is in his head. He needs therapy. Stephanovic is the glue and is playing injured. Burke played the hardest and Cronin didn't let him play ! But for a minute. Stop with musical chairs! Let the young guys play!

Gave up 53 percent shooting. Where they shot 37. Need to get opponents shooting 35 to 40 percent especially when struggling. You are going to have shooting slumps but that’s when your defense needs to step it up Arizona, utah, Colorado , USC and few more are physical. Need to win physical more over the opponent. You have to want it more.
