I’m a Georgia Dawg, but this game is a microcosm of being a Gamecock fan. We had our own issues in KY last night, but the Refs screwed the Gamecocks flat-out. The Refs tried to help KY also, but they were relentless on SC….what a shame.

The text of the NCAA Rule Book on the horse-collar penalty: "All players are prohibited from grabbing the inside back collar of the shoulder pads or jersey, the area, or the inside collar of the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, and immediately pulling the ball carrier down. This does not apply to a ball carrier, including a potential passer, who is inside the tackle box." The LSU QB (potential passer) was solidly inside the tackle box. This was the wrong call. Then the OPI and the BS crackback -- something was up with the refs in this game.

UGA fan here. Carolina got screwed by refs. It’s just not possible to have that many huge plays negated unless refs have some sort of agenda. Don’t know what’s going on, but watched a ton of games yesterday & refs are out of control flag happy. If I had a life, I’d have quit watching it was so painful. So many “nothing” plays penalized. Kirby said same in post-game last night, about officiating in games in general this year.

You have Rocket with 136 rushing yards and barely gets a touch on on the last series or several series where Ashford ran right or left and got nothing. Not his fault but 3-4 north and south would have been big late in the game. We saw what he can do if given a chance. Should have had 200 yards rushing...

Another LSU fan here, I’ll say this, if South Carolinas QB Sellers hadn’t got hurt, South Carolina would’ve won, he ran for 2 touch downs, anytime you run a QB down field, a risk is being made, eventually a defense will take that general off the field & not only change the game but also the season. Like I said we would’ve lost that game hands down had QB Sellers stayed in the pocket more & not take multiple running down field risks. I played defense & my specialty wasn’t sacks I wish it was but it wasn’t, mine was cutting down the “asset” or field general when he rushed down field, there’s a reason why there’s tail backs & full backs because they have years of drills & practices & contact but a qb & coaches forget all too often that your sending your top valuable asset down field into the teeth of the defense,anyhow prayers for his recovery & he will be back on the field soon & God Bless y’all. 🙏🏈

Awesome Gameday in Columbia and unbelievable atmosphere throughout the entire game. Prayers that Sellers will be fine really soon and a thank you to the Gamecocks for fighting so hard to the very end. You're a really good team with really good coaches and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season. With all that said, I never complain about the officiating....am married to a former Gamecock football player ('65-'69/ 1969 ACC Championship Team) and have been a Gamecock all my life, and the officiating yesterday was really suspect. I can't know if there was something nefarious going on or if they just aren't very good, but it was obviously dreadful. Too many holding and face mask violations not called on LSU and some really erroneous calls on Carolina....enough that it would have made the difference in the game! Heartsick for the entire Gamecock Nation. We definitely made our share of mistakes but it's hard to been a good LSU team and the refs.

With your speed, you may consider "bombing runs. drop the passes on them. some extra work may need to happen. after LSU"S LAST td I felt the team lost all momentum. drive was gone. So dragging a QB down by the jersey is horse collar? Pushing a QB in the chest after a pick is a personal foul? And early in the 4th a phantom PI on our offense. Still trying to find that one and I've replaced it about 8 times. Hard to stomach this one. If we are not gonna allow Robby to throw the ball pretty much at all until it was a must why the hell is he the backup? Cutter Woods cannot get to Columbia fast enough. And Lenorris is giving the ball away far too much. Play Doty. He may not be able to run a 75 yard td but damn he can throw the ball. Missed tackles hurt. Alot

Has anyone put together a set of game clips showing the plays the refs messed up? Who's officials were calling the game? Where they SEC refs for an SEC vs SEC match-up? I didnt watch the game, as im not a fan of either team and my team dont play either this year. I just really dont like when refs get overly involved in games. We had a TD called back for O-lineman down field this year. Watched the play several times and the guy was 2 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. Seems a little crazy to me.

Was this game supposed to be lost? Ray Tanner loses his job 1 day before the game then Beamer and crew just roll over. Not one challenge the whole game, and then says the officiating crew is good.

The call against #5 on his push/block on the quarterback who was moving to make a tackle on the Carolina player with the ball was TERRIBLY soft. The player could have really nailed the QB if he had wanted to. Awful. The refs decided to not let the players decide this game.
