The gap in athleticism, particularly at the guard position was shocking. We definitely have the horses to run the race this year. Was a fun watch.

I was nervous before this game bc Aidoo was gonna be out. But they handled business and the defense looked amazing. I feel pretty darn good about this team going forward. We have some DAWGS. WPS!

I was very surprised because I thought for sure DJ would be the point guard (and he can be) but Boogie was a natural and obviously has to play as much as possible. Can’t wait til Nelly and Aidoo are back playing the way they can. It will be very interesting to see how the guard rotation shakes out. They are going to be very fun to watch!

Arkansas star Jonas Aidoo was out, plus 3 point shooters Melo Sanchez and jaden karuletwa were out. Kansas star hunter Dickinson was out and another starter. So pretty even on injuries. Arkansas was the better team with more room for improvement. I think Arkansas can beat a healthy kansas team in March.

When you see Big Z, think of Kristaps Porzingis. Tall and skilled shooter/player that will impact the game on both ends. I want to see him posting up more and also being a CONDUIT like Nikola Jokic as a passer/screen setter at the top of the key. I loved the play between him and Boogie Fland when Boogie faked his man and then cut backdoor for the layup. Boogie Fland..... once I saw him drive off the pick and roll into the paint for a layup, my mind went to Tony Parker/Allen Iverson and said, "He's going to the league after the season. He oozes NBA level ability and CONFIDENCE." He looked like Iverson gambling/anticipating passes for steals on the defensive end. DJ Wagner looked like Jrue Holliday defensively. He can switch and still stay strapped to his man. He's very strong, so he won't be bullied by bigger guards/wings. I'd like for DJ to model his game after Jrue Holliday. Be a DAWG/leader for the team. Karter Knox is huge. He looked like Jimmy Butler bodywise. He got more confident as the game played on. I want him to think about the young Jimmy Butler, who was All Defense in the NBA, before he blossomed into the player he has been for the past 5-8 years. Johnell Davis will pick up his level as the season goes on. He'll get acclimated to the SEC speed and style of play.

Big Z is not Porzingas. He's a 22-year-old college sophomore. When Portizingas was 22, he was already a 3 year NBA vet. Big Z has entered his name in the NBA draft twice and had to pull out cause he wasn't draftable. Stop making unrealistic expectations and you'll kill him when he only averages 9ppg and fouls out off 10 games.

@@mgers75 Kristaps Porzingis was born in 1995. Zvonimir Ivišić aka Big Z, was born in 2003. Of course, Big Z is not Kristaps Porzingis, lol. A child would understand that. Big Z can be like Kristaps Porzingis with his ability to shoot the 3, pass/set screens at the top of the screen to orchestrate an offense, and use his length to affect shots on the defensive side. I know what Porzingis was at age 22; I saw it live, and I do not care because that is irrelevant at this time. My only focus is on how Big Z can impact the game for Arkansas in a Porzingis way. I will set expectations that I want to set, and you can't do anything about it. You know what I say to you? Shut the heck up, lol. Time will tell the tale of Big Z's story this season. Not you. Not me. Time will reveal the truth, but I will still set the expectation that Big Z has the ability to impact the game like Porzingis.

DJ Wagner had some good games for Kentucky but second half of season was really bad. Last night DJ Wagner played well but he will have some really bad games. Boogie Fland played well but is freshmen and will have ups and downs. I think Arkansas will lose some games you don't see coming with John Calipari coach. I think by end of season Kansas basketball will be much better then Kentucky. Kansas was missing two starters and their best defensive guard in Moore.
