LOL -- Just had to get some perspective right now being in Week 12 of 2020, where we should rightfully be 4-3 with the only legitimate losses coming against #13 Georgia, #5 Texas A&M, and #6 Florida (current rankings). Love watching Trey too because he reacts the EXACT same way when it comes to seeing this program struggle. I'm SOOOOOOOOO damn grateful for the job that Coach Pittman and company are doing right now, and of course continue to love the content that HawgSports puts out. I'm a longtime listener of 103.7 The Buzz as well, so I've been a fan of Trey Biddy's perspective for many years now. I'm supremely confident in this coaching staff, just from what we've seen so far with this immediate turnaround even. We've obviously had the talent to compete in the SEC despite Chad Morris not being able to get it done with back-to-back 2-10 seasons. It's a night-and-day difference when you look at how these players are responding and buying in right now. We're already competing at a level which has us right outside the Top-25, even with a 10-game SEC-only schedule that includes about EIGHT preseason ranked opponents -- three of which are legitimate Top-10 caliber teams in those that we lost to so far. Regardless, I think we're in excellent hands right now, and it's just a matter of time. #WPS

@orchardblessings90015 жыл бұрын
Yeah I know why he does it...Im just VERY frustrated, as we all are. But if "you are the guy" you have to own some of this, and not keep putting it on youth and needing time. I was a supporter of the time agruement for a long time...was pretty optimistic even after kentucky...we were heading in the right direction, albeit losing still...then with each game the guys seen to let go a little more. For players at this level to not have anymore grit and fight in them than what we have seen...it's something on the inside. Those players do not get to an SEC school on scholarship without something special in high school and it's normally NOT just talent, they have heart and are leaders on there high school teams. It's almost like this staff has taken that heart, grit, determination, or whatever you want to call it from them. It's very sad. We have talent, no doubt, we have seen glimpses of it, they just need leadership and direction from within. I don't think they are getting it.

We've come a long way since this. Not even two full years later, and we're ranked in the top 20 - and that's not even the best part. Our most hated rival just came into Fayetteville and got absolutely demolished. I cannot think of a quicker turnaround in modern college football than this. I came back to this video to remind myself of just how far Arkansas has risen since getting beaten by our former QB/in-state talent in Fayetteville. I don't want to be an arrogant/cocky fan, but I think, just maybe, that Arkansas is finally on the verge of greatness.

@@HereNow2226 Hey, thanks for the Arkansas love! If Arkansas's best accomplishment this year is beating Texas, I'll be very disappointed. But, don't worry. We'll repay the favor forward to your Aggie brethren in Texas. They've been online clowning Texas more than us Arkansas fans, but they don't seem to realize that the exact same thing is going to happen to them on September 25th in Jerry World. It's the least we can do for y'all. Y'all shouldn't have to worry about the rest of the season for Texas. Casey Thompson is QB1 now as it should have been all along. As long as Sark uses Thompson like Pittman used Jefferson against y'all, I don't see why Texas can't win 8-9 games at the minimum. If you beat TCU and Iowa State, you're looking at a potential Sugar Bowl berth. Good luck to y'all. Go make our win look even better!
@HereNow22263 жыл бұрын
@@shchorss was thinking that too. if Steve Sarkisian as HC is anywhere half as effective as Sam Pittman the HC, am fully expecting Texas to win against both Iowa State and TCU. and on top of that if Kyle Flood not sleeping on his watch, may manage win against Oklahoma too with Casey Thompson by like you said utilizing CT like Sam used KJ Jefferson against Texas. CT got the fire the spirit within and most importantly not wimpy. that is key to edging superior teams in rivalry games vs TCU, Oklahoma. Hudson Card is rat poison for Sark Texas. he could not or dare not throw to open receiver in clutch situations. plus his CPU speed is too low to serve as a championship standard QB. honeymoon is over. Sark and co. better start winning convincingly now in 2021 or be headed out to USC. saw meme in twitter something about coaching room starting to stink like Herman. Hook'em
@shchorss3 жыл бұрын
@@HereNow2226 It's only been two games. Sark is fine. Every coach will make mistakes. Sark's mistake thus far was not starting CT after his dominant Alamo Bowl performance. It appears he learned that lesson because CT is slated to start against Rice. I'm hoping Sark also realizes that the WR talent at Texas is not the same that he had at Alabama, so he can't just call plays where Worthy or Whittington are 1-on-1 with the DB. Don't get me wrong, Worthy and Whittington are both dawgs, and they can get away bullying the poor DBs for Baylor, Kansas State, etc. However, if Texas wants to beat TCU, Iowa State, or Oklahoma, Sark is going to have to do what Mike Leach did to LSU last year. Call high-low passing plays, pair XW, and JW with LBs and safeties on crossing routes, swing Bijan Robinson out as an extra receiver from the backfield and, utilize CT's running ability. If Sark can do that, I definitely like Texas's chances at beating Iowa State, TCU, or Oklahoma. Honestly, I think you guys will be fine for the rest of the season. Arkansas was a wake-up call for Sark and his staff, and they should learn from the mistakes made in that game. Plus, you also have to remember that this is year 1 for Sark's staff. Losing a few games is expected. Nick Saban went 7-6 in his first season at Alabama. Kirby Smart went 7-6 in his first season at UGA. Dabo Swinney went 9-5 in his first full season at Clemson. Sometimes, you just have to trust your HC. When Sam Pittman was hired at Arkansas, all we heard was that it was a terrible hire and that we were destined to remain as the doormat of the SEC for years to come. Look at how that turned out.

One coach they should have kept was the strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert who went to Michigan. The players now seem to be very weak against other teams which is from the strength and conditioning program Arkansas has now. And when you look at Arkansas practice you hear this loud music blaring which does not help the players to concentrate and to learn. Chad Morris seems to want a nightclub practice for his players and seems to want to be their buddy instead of a hard nose, tough as nails football coach like Nick Saban who has his players respect. Bobby Patrino was a very tough and feared coach and his practices were hell and that's one reason he was winning.

As a Longhorn fan that lived in Arkansas for about 10 years, I have two thoughts. 1-due to the competition of the Arkansas and Texas programs, I always rooted against Arkansas for the trash talk that ensued with my Arkansas friends. I used to hate that Arkansas was NEVER out of a game. They made seemed to average 1-2 miracles a season (ole miss and Hunter Henry). There was an incredible fight that was inspiring in the Razorbacks year after year. 2- I can empathize with you and have a tremendous appreciation for your frustration and pain. This year, I found your videos and have watched them each week. The Longhorns I love seem to be so distant when Colt left and took Longhorn domination with him. Watching you has turned me from a Razorback "disliker" to someone who feels for fans and players dealing with a tough season(s). A true fan of any team will recognize another fan's love and respect it. That has actually made me root for the Razorbacks. If nothing else, competitive games make football better than all the other sports. Today the seniors deserved a win and a time to shine. Was it time to put in the newer qbs, or should Hicks have received another chance? The reason for that question is, what message does this send to your current veteran leaders about the remainder of the season? Good luck, and I hope it is a good game when they renew the Texas vs. Arkansas matchup in a couple years. Keep doing what you do sir, you are one of the greats!

Trey you're right this is not what rebuilding looks like. This is a teardown without the know-how and parts to get it back together again! Great performance and execution from Ty! Good for him. I have thought all year that these other two guys they brought in we're no better than Ty. Looks like they are way worse and it's up to our freshman now. No matter who we have at QB we still need a staff that can help him Excel. Simply put we seem to have a staff that needs to pull their heads out their a$$e$. They are terrible, they lead us to a loss every weekend. They get millions of dollars they still feel like they don't need to give you straight answers at the press conferences. If you can't win at least answer some straightforward questions.

“Whatever! This was not that big a rebuild.” I heard those words back in November of 2019 and I may have shouted “amen!” We had some good players then. It was horrible leadership. Just 14 games later and we’re ranked #8 in the AP poll. Will it last? I don’t know. But it doesn’t matter. Arkansas football is back under Sam Pittman.

I honestly wouldn't care if 9 wins is the most Sam Pittman can achieve in a single season, 9 wins is better than 9 losses, and I wouldn't care how big or small the bowl game Arkansas goes to, im happy Arkansas makes it to the post season

Coming back and watching before the 2022 season to remind myself to be grateful for what Sam Pittman has done to rebuild from…this. Regardless of what happens in 2022.

Drove up for the game - First one since last year. We had a great time being there with hope of a win. Pre-game was fun. By the 2nd quarter, everyone was pissed at Chad. They wanted him fired at halftime (LOL). His job has got to be hanging by a thread if fan opinion is worth anything. Hanging Chad should be his new nickname (job hanging by a chad). Overall, we did have a good time at the game, but small crowd, which had some advantages, no lines at food places, and no traffic.

30 minutes after my post, Chad was received off his duties as Head Coach od Ark. Best of luck Chad, as I am sure you have a lot of pressure removed.

Loss to Liberty at home as a 14 point favorite in a game where you hold them to 315 yards, block a punt for a safety, and shut them out in the second half. Not the same overall, but felt strangely “Morrisish”
