807th Color Guard

Lots of mistakes. 1. The poles are all different heights. They have to be either 8 feet or 9 ft 6 in. 2. Color bearers are supposed to wear harnesses, even if the flags are carried in the order position. 3. Color guards (riflemen) and Color Bearers are supposed to be wearing ceremonial belt. 4. Color guards are supposed to be at right shoulder arms, not port atms. 5. Why are NCOs carrying the rifles and then non-NCOs carrying the flags? 6. NCO outside of formation should not be calling the commands out loud. The color sergeant carries the U.S. flag and calls the commands at a low voice just so the team can hear the commands. Read up on TM 3-21.5 or FM 22-5

"make way for the colors" Love it .. where did that come from? I find no reference in Dill and Ceremony.

I've said it before, but only because we were going to plow into some oblivious bystanders. Not sure it should just be part of the standard procedure though...

yes, last year's JROTC military ball had one with us flag, state flag, 2 rifle men and a commander with a saber

Of course. It all depends on how many colors are being carried/posted.
