The late Noel Rawsthorne was incredibly gifted at composing and arranging music so it was accessible, fun and inspiring - and this postlude on the Easter Hymn (Lyra Davidica), is no exception.
I took great joy in playing this piece as the postlude on Easter morning at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Soldier's Hill, Ballarat @stjohnsballarat9649. It wasn't the right occasion for recording, so instead of the Fincham & Hobday at St. John's, the recording comes from the Salisbury Cathedral sampleset (which I may have enjoyed a bit too much).
The console video was recorded on the Zoom Q2n-4k - my first time using this camera - there's some more refinement needed, meaning more videos to come!
I hope this piece brings a smile to your face today. Christ is risen, Alleluia!
