Singing uses a different part of the brain. Speaking is typically left hemisphere, and singing is more melodic and creative coming from the right hemishere. I am sure technology adds to it as well. 🙂

the autotune is used in excess, in hyperbole, because it suits the style of the song, not to correct mistakes. Ozzy has always been tough to understand in interviews, but so clear when singing and i thinkn it might have to do with both his Birmingham accent, dyslexia and now his old age and perhaps some remnants of his drug abuse
