I've been Apostolic for 20plus years having come from a musical background professionally I'm amazed how casual we are in this area, and to be brutally honest we don't care the origin of the writers of these songs ,their doctrinal belief ,even if they are spirit filled, as long as we feel goose bumps, it mentions Jesus or the like it must be anointed. We bring tainted worship into our church's most times just like Cain did. I wont name artists but we sing songs from an artist who is a proclaimed Homosexual and argue that its ok because of the lyrics, well if lyrical content is the factor to use, there is a few Thrash/Metal bands that have songs with more Biblical backing then some of our songs we use on Sunday mornings so that same principal we can use anything as long as lyrics are ok no matter how sensual the music is or appeals to our flesh we will use it, Most of these artist consider us as Apostolic's as either a cult or heritics because of our doctrine, We have a multitude of Apostolic artists in our PPH catalog and It really threw me for many years how Apostolic's will argue against using our own music. I can guarentee the baptist church or Hill songs or some other Radio Christian artist is not singing "Its all in Him" yet we use music from people who doctrinally we would never allow behind our pulpits to preach yet we offer up strange fire to the Lord, There is no balance and I agree with Bro Chavis this is part pf the reason so many struggle, Satan was the choir director in heaven so its no wonder we blur the lines musicly,I wont preach on here just felt led to warn that we need to rethink what we are offering to the Lord, even in music we need to practice seperation,

I've been wandering for a couple of years, backslidden, running from God. I made the decision to stop running this week and have been watching some very powerful messages - this is one of them - waiting for Sunday so I can go up to the House of the Lord to worship with my Brethren. Jesus has spoken through His servants this past few days, through preaching and teaching of sound doctrine from true Men of God!
