Those two are vampires but they try to leave that behind and live a normal life at that sawmill. I read about those two on the UESP Wiki, so indeed, those ones don't mean any harm for you. There is a quest to kill Hern, but his wife there will try to protect her man

This was a fun episode and glad you are having fun with the Alchemist. Trying a play through with an alchemist myself and find it very rewarding and fun. Its a nice change of pace from the usual characters I create. I would stick with this approach and the nice part there is a lot of room for adventure for this character. The missive boards mod can aid you in your approach. By doing the deliveries or taking letters to various people it can help with exploration and with finding new ingredients or training. Plus with going to new towns, it helps to do favors for the alchemists there, as they can give you access to more ingredients and may aid in the roleplay. most of my builds use alchemy especially as a money maker, i can tell you several recipes that you can make if you have the vanilla ingredient effects, including my main business potion which i grow at Goldenhills Plantation for me the most rewarding builds are those built in roleplay, looking forward to the rest of the series 👍

I did a no-combat alchemist run some time ago. Travelling from town to town, picking herbs along the way, hiring followers as bodyguards and buying them more powerful gear as I could afford it. It sounds boring but somehow it was some of the best fun I've ever had in the game!

I had an idea for a new series. Life As A Nomad. Basically, live in a camp, live off the land (eating what you find/hunt, drink what you find, only wear things you craft from items you find, etc). You can only camp in one spot for a few days before you have to move, you avoid civilization except to trade, etc

Awesome, i´ve always wanted to know more about alchemy in Skyrim. Watching this video i realized all my characters are grave robbers and pillagers. Even if you kill a bandit, checking the pockets of a dead guy might not be what a "good character" would do, but then again, maybe in the elder scrolls universe you keep what you kill.

Happy you’re enjoying the character. For alchemy, even mixing and matching random ingredients will upgrade your alchemy level and some if not many will be very valuable. And once made, it’ll save as a known potion to recreate. Great series, good luck. Lucrative potion= wheat and a giants toe 👍

Wheat, Giants Toe and Creep Cluster is even better but Salmon Roe, Nordic Barnacle and Garlic is the big daddy of all potions as far as money goes. Only for when you've spent alot yourself as no merchant in the game possess this sort of money offhand!

This was a really fun episode. It's actually the first one that I have watched all the way through. I think you need to upgrade to the biggest tent, or maybe make your way to the alchemists shack and claim it for your home. Those storms are pretty intense.

As someone who has made atleast 10 characters in Skyrim since it was out on the Xbox360 and never beat the game because....I'm bad at finishing things. Alchemy is always the first and main thing I do with all the characters. I just love the fantasy of alchemy in games and dnd and books and stuff

I quite enjoyed this and would love to see this as a series. Though when you passed up so much loot at the lumber camp I about cried. I loot everything and everyone. Can always sell the stuff for coin to buy what you do need.

Alchemy is always part of my playthrough whether I play as a warrior or a sneaky character with a bow. But my favourite is to just use crossbows for long range and two handed until I max out the two handed skill then play a one handed with a shield. But Alchemy is always a huge part of my game as a money-maker and for my essential potions. Love the playthrough so far. Just about to start watching episode 3 and because ive enjoyed it so much I've subbed. 😁

I always end up majoring in Enchanting, Alchemy, and Archery. Usually by the time I'm in my 40's levels I'm pretty much unkillable and able to one shot anything. Lazy, I know but, you go with what you know!! Also, if you are doing archery the chaos enchantment is absolutely deadly but, it is hard to get.

Oh my that looks like a lot of fun ^^ A good Mod for things like this could be "Talentless" with that you can disable things you do not want to use say you just want to use Daggers, then you could disable any other Weapon so you do not even can equip them or certain Magics (careful with mod things those are magic too and then wont be usable) You can even disable smithing, lockpicking etc Maybe have a look for the next one Edit: And maybe for even harder play, the Mod "Wounds" pretty interesting too

My rule of thumb when doing alchemy to find out the other unknown properties is if you have plenty of one ingredient, there's no harm in mixing them even if the result is an unknown potion. Generally, I keep only one of each ingredient and the rest are used for testing and making potions.
