I recommend the mod Immersive Mining by Jonathon594 instead. It makes mining timeskip 1 ingame hour and randomly give you 1 to 6 ore after the skip. Also it makes all ore veins have 144 ore in them. So you can mine them for days.
@JacobyWakeby3 ай бұрын
Looks like a cool mod, definitely rp friendly but for a video format I kinda want to show the mining

There should be a mod that gives you a "disease" like lower back pain if you mine too much in a short amount of time. Makes you move 20% slower or something.

I like these types of videos (I'm really enjoying the Ranger series as well). Maybe for your "normal guy" playthroughs you might want to lower your max HP or something to keep you from so brazenly jumping into any action that erupts. You got right between that hunter and his target and maybe if there was a serious risk of being one- or two-shotted by anyone you might play a little more "realistically". Don't know what the concensus would be on that, just my two cents. Great video either way!

Good idea, I think I can just do that in the console

I love how seriously you take your RPs! Its like watching a different game with every playlist 😊 This current one gave me an idea for a punny alternative though: "Playing a *Minor* in Skyrim" 😅 Like, if you could use a mod to make yourself a child character thats trying to survive and thrive. Youd be allowed to wield a dagger, and you could make money by begging or selling things. And you could RP a sort of 'foster system' where you can only go outside city limits if your foster parent accompanies you as a follower. The objectives are to make it to adulthood in your own way: either find a forever family to adopt you, or to make it out in the world as a drifter, or maybe grow up to take over Honorhall... ultimately just having the best and most adventurous childhood you can, while keeping the RP within the bounds of what a child should be allowed to do.
@CH-1060forEelАй бұрын
i love this idea! good opportunity for a coming of age story
@facesofthechimeraАй бұрын
@CH-1060forEel exactly! Besides, unless you use exploits or have a lot of patience, you're never really gonna get all the perks like you do in most games. But imagine an RP where you start off as a growing child, run that as long as you choose to, and then initiate the event where you cross the border and get captured. And then it becomes an RP in the regular playthrough. Epic!

Jacoby, I would absolutely love to see more of this series! It’s humble, honest work in my favorite fantasy universe. You should find a medium value mine (no gold like you said) close to a town or city, and make or buy what you need to survive. Don’t feel bad about buying about buying supplies, it’s part of the game.

BEST VIDEO YET! the editing is well done. It seems like that refugee fancys you! Maybe you can pursue a relationship with her? lol. Also I know everyone likes to defend the Dunmer. However, lore wise, it would be very rare for a Nord to be sympathetic to a dark elf refugee or any elves for that matter given the history.
@someonesilence37313 ай бұрын
True, people shouldn't portray their modern views on the game so much and embrace roleplaying. In this case I guess he would likely be more tolerant towards dark elf refugees because he is a refugee himself.
@salamantics26 күн бұрын
We are not solely the product of our environment. Our personality plays into it, too. You think nord priests would care if you're a dunmer or not? On average, probably not.
@someonesilence373126 күн бұрын
@@salamantics Do not forget that personality is also heavily influenced by environment, especially during childhood. Major personality changes usually don't happen quickly unless someone faces a traumatic or eye-opening event. I think most Nord priests would assume that every Dunmer they encounter is a daedra worshipper and stay clear of them until proven otherwise.

I would love to see more of this. It's interesting to me as someone who has done something similar as a guard in survival. Complete with a rotating schedule with allowances for randiant bandit clearing quests. Unfortunately, it was on console so no in-depth modding to make the experience complete. But it's actually quite fun to spend time in the world and act as an average person would. One of the restrictions I had to keep myself from acting more like a common bandit or adventurer was that I couldn't take armor from corpses. Pretty much everything else was fine, though. Weapons, especially so.

You should consider doing some videos like this but with Morrowind. The mods you'd want are Tamriel Rebuilt, Ashfall, The Joy of Painting, Ultimate Fishing, and Poison Crafting as well as any others you might like the look of. With those you could try earning a living as a fisherman, a painter, a hunter, etc. Personally I think trying to earn a living as a painter using the Joy of Painting mod along side the necessities and conditions of Ashfall would be the most interesting, and unique. It would be a rough start as your art wont really be worth enough to cover the cost of the materials used in making it until your Painting level improves but that does fit the starving artist archetype and there are creative ways to work around it through Ashfalls crafting mechanic. Because Ashfall, the Joy of Painting, and Ultimate Fishing are all made by the same guy they're all fully compatible and integrated with each other. I included Tamriel Rebuilt simply to expand the map and because its the single greatest mod for any Elder Scrolls game ever made.

Just popped in to say that, as much as I love watching your videos, and I get a great amount of entertainment from them, I can't watch these any longer. I'm getting motion sickness and headaches from trying to stay focused on the way you move your "camera" around. This isn't a criticism of the way you play; please don't take it as that. It's just something I recently realized, that each time I watch you play, I get queasy and headachy. I'm so sorry. I don't have this problem when *I* play Skyrim, but I think that's because I know what I'm going to be looking at, and I'm prepared for the way the "camera" moves. But watching someone else play has an element of unpredictability to it that I can't handle. Please continue to make your videos, because they are so much fun for all of your subscribers. I just can't be part of it anymore.
