Why does the voltage decrease when resistance decreases?

Resistance is the opposition to the flow of electrons. Basically when an electron collides with the internal lattice of a resistor it imparts energy (PD) The greater the resistance, the more collisions happen therefore the greater the proportion of the electrons energy (PD) lost over that resistor Hope that helps
