If Jimmy really requests for a trade, Id prefer the Sixers' package for the following reasons: 1. It's sort of a "thank you" gift to Jimmy for sending him to his friends (Embiid and Lowry, if he resigns for the minimum) and to the city Butler is still fond of. It also gives Jimmy a legit chance to win. 76ers are all on in right now. 2. It signal a full retool for Miami (not a rebuild) wherein they can use the draft assets to package Herro for a superstar (Mitchell? KD?). It also puts Miami under the 1st tax apron which Micky Arison would love, lol.

Agree, plus maybe we could send that entire package + Herro to Cleveland for Mitchell. And use our other Assets for another star, I'd love Lauri but idk if we have enough (maybe Duncan, Jaquez, and 3 1sts?) Terry Donovan Niko Lauri Bam I think this moves would also give some financial flexibility to sign someone like Tyus Jones to start alongside Donovan (for better defnese in the backcourt) and let Terry be our 6th man. All I can do is dream lol

Yeah the timing of jimmys injury is kinda sketchy. He may use the heats 1st round exit as leverage in contract extension talks. In all honesty the rozier trade is looking like a disaster and they will be silly to gamble away more of their future if they’re not getting a legit star to pair with butler and adebayo. Pat Riley and his head office need to go younger. The heat already draft well. ( i.e herro, jacques jr, bam) They need to countinue in that direction. Look at where the league is heading….. all the teams who drafted their talents are reaping the rewards especially with the new cba. The teams who gambled away their futures for already manufactured stars are paying the penalty severely. To illustrate the Clippers and the Suns are now potentially stuck with expensive and mediocre rosters for the next few years with little wiggle room to improve thier rosters . Heat shouldn’t bend into Jimmy demands, if he doesn’t agree to a a reasonable extension then the heat should trade him.

Anyone with basic IQ knew he faked that injury. He knew Miami Heat had zero chance this season to make it through the playoffs. So he faked injury to boast his extension chances, as in, Heat needs him to make it to the conference finals, without him, they can't do shitt. But deep down he knows even if he was healthy, they won't make it pass 1st round this time around, so he faked to keep his chances high.

This offseason will be very interesting with all these major teams out of the playoffs so early. Warriors, Lakers, Clippers, Suns, Heat, Bucks, 6ers. Are there going to be major shake ups or do most run it back? Very interesting thought experiments.

I like the thunder and 76ers trades here. I think both work very well for both parties involved. I imagine philli are more desperate this off season than okc though so i see that as the more likely of the pair.

That MIA-NYK trade looks great for both parts. Knicks could set up a frontcourt of Butler, Anunoby and Mitch, with Josh Hart as a strong 6th man. Brunson, DiVincenzo, Butler, Anunoby, Mitch / McBride, Hart, Achiuwa, Hartenstein. Looks like a well rounded team!
