Clevland Cliffe killed Ashland, KY AK Steel Works and the town too. My dad, grandfather and other family worked there.Cleveland Cliffe lied said they would reopen our mill. They tore everything down.

That’s what I want to auto makers to steel mills to healthcare systems and now who do you complain to zero I have an a lot of US steel stock and you know what I don’t want them well I won’t say it because it will probably be voided I don’t want them people over there by and are steel mills, hydra Deculus corporate greed

Honestly I’d hate to see it go, cause for one Cleveland cliffs is such a weird name 😂 but besides that it’s such an iconic company thats helped shape America from the titans of industry. And I’m pretty sure whoever buys it out is gonna scrap the name, even though US Steel is such a title to have. In some way I hope that US Steel will reject the buyout options and continue to grow itself but honestly I see Esmark or Cliffs taking them over

If the Nippon Steel Corp results in new investment in more efficient and cleaner steel production then it’s a GOOD thing. Today America has much cheaper energy than Europe which may help steel production to increase. The OPEC energy crisis was the key factor behind the collapse of the US steel industry in the 1970s onwards. Today Japan is an ally of the US and China/Russia are threatening democracy. We need the investment now to new steel plants ready to increase production if China starts a war in the Pacific. Those Democrats, Unions, and small minded nationalists opposed to Nippon Steel will be sorry if there isn’t enough production available to make enough weapons to stop China from doing what Putin has done in Ukraine.
