Potential Wings of Fire GAME?! | WoF Ideas

One thing I'd like to see in this game (that I didn't mention in the video) are different organisations that dragons can join! Being able to join the Outclaws, Talons or a completely new organisation would allow for more story-telling and unique set pieces to explore!

I eventually want an open world game where everyone has a role, not just spectating. Everyone has a job, you can own restaurants and start businesses. If there aren't enough players online then npc's are put in their place so that everyone gets the service even if some are offline. Wars and conflicts can be started and you can have a slice of life experience. Kind of like AI rpg's but put into visuals and other online people. Minecraft comes really close to this but doesn't really have a economic system you can work for in game, sure you can protect the villagers from raids, but you yourself aren't really a part of the npc community.

This is a really fun concept to work with! Filling in empty spots with AI could pose an issue with player exploits and whatnot. It's a very good idea though! A self-thriving community as a game would be good for a community who likes role-playing. If a game like this comes around, I'll definitely try it out!

What I'd really love for a game like this is for the world to really feel populated in the plausible amount, and for there to be lots of different dragons to talk to that all have their own lives in the world (some of them potentially with problems that can be helped out with). I'd want to see what the various festivals around the kingdoms are like, get to talk to dragons in remote SkyWing villages, see the bustle of a SandWing trading oasis and the dragons that pass through. Pyrrhia is _huge_ and full of dragons and it needs to feel that way. It would also be funny if the dragon that greets you in Possibility at the start would be either Riptide or Winter. Both have an important role in the town and would be a familiar character to greet the player before being let loose into the wider world, to encounter dragons both familiar and new. Also, Riptide is great and we definitely need to see more of him.

Yes! Having a lively world is important for an open-world game. Random events like festivals or raids would make for a highly interactive Pyrrhia! Someone familiar, like Riptide, introducing you to basic game mechanics like movement and skills would be good!

It's definitely a possibility because open world games can allow you do quests in any order! It would be interesting how a game like that would handle the story, especially Arc 2!

This would be an amazing game, as someone who semi-codes Lua (Roblox code) I can say this would be impossible without a team, and a nightmare to code (If you hate yourself, master Lua... It's hard). BUT if there was a game like this, you should have like a 'roll' system to determine if you have fireproof scales, or have fire scales. Another thing I would like to do (Like you said) is to explore the Outclaws and stuff and get immersed in the world. It would be cool if after you have done the main quest you could travel to Pantala and have another main quest there. P.S: if there is a food bar then it would be cool to see like diffrent tribe foods, and maybe if you eat food from your tribe then you would get a food boost (Ex: IceWings get more food points if they eat a narwal, but the normal amount if they eat a fruit, but if a RainWing ate that fruit then they would get more food points). Idk if that made sense but oh well lol

Introducing Pantala would make the development team's job twice as long haha, but it's a definite possibility! Having to manage a food bar, like Minecraft, would be interesting... I don't know how it would enhance gameplay but it can definitely introduce more food/health items in the world! Also, this doesn't *have* to be coded in Lua - making this game in Unity, Unreal or Godot is something that can be done!

Yeah, ikr all these wof games like ea (or beta ig) and tod have 1 kingdom while 7 thrones has all 7, has an entire set of intricate and juicy lore, has great game mechanics with attacking and trading, and has a MASSIVE open world with all kinds of hidden castles, outposts, quests, and underground mazes. It's a shame that the character models aren't going to be updated or that people aren't playing it much compared to the two other powerhouses. (Just to be clear, I have nothing against ToD or Beta. In fact, I regularly play those games. I just think that WoF 7t (or 7t rp) is incredibly underrated.)

I haven't had a fair chance to review the game yet, but it seems that 7T has a LOT of content which is promising. I haven't thought about doing a game review before but it may be interesting to make one about 7 Thrones!

That's very true! Game development is no easy feat which is why I highly respect all game developers/designers in the field. The work they do is phenomenonal for consumers, like us, to enjoy it! With a dedicated team though, I imagine it'll be an achievable task - similar to how animation teams make MAPs for WoF (I'm not too familiar with the idea of MAPs btw, just thought I'd let you know)!

this sounds like something i never knew i needed!!! i, too, am desperate for variety in wof games - rp games just aren't fun for me this, however, not only sounds very on brand for wof but sound like a true joy! yes, we do have 7t, and i do enjoy that game, but something with more intricate npc interactions would be amazing! it would be a dream to model for a project like this

As much as I want to work on this project, it's only an idea for now. I would love to work with many people on this but I have my own projects that I want to pursue before this one. However! Anyone is welcome to make something like this, so it's still possible to make this into a reality

If development hasn't started already, I believe it'll be quite a while before any news of an open world WoF Game to be released. I'd love to see something like this for the community though!

This would be a cool concept to code but the game would likely be super laggy because of how much code and models there are, as well as a large map. Maybe if it was made outside of Roblox this would be less of a problem because Roblox is a rather limited program

There are some workaround when handling many objects in Lua; but yes, this game can 100% be made in other game engines! In fact, when I was thinking of this concept, I was thinking about Unity or Godot for handling the large-scale game. I could go more into detail but that'd be a whole separate essay on game development haha!

In terms of role-playing, yes! Although... I'm not too familiar with DnD's gameplay but I do know that DnD has a lot of character customisation and dice rolls for actions (please correct me, I know I'm highly uninformed). So maybe it is similar to DnD's gameplay

Pantala would probably be a feature released down the line because of the vastly different landscape and structures. A major studio working on this game could probably get Pantala done easily though

I do get you about the game traits, but it would most likely take up a LOT of data on roblox studio and will probably crash your computer lol. That said, it could be made in a better game engine.

When I was first theorising about this game, I thought it would be made on Unity or Godot to handle more complex systems. I will say though, having it on Roblox would mean that a lot more people can have access to the game - it creates a very big dilemma for developers. I honestly would like it on Unity but have a "downgraded" version for Roblox players

It would also be amazing if you considered that magic also exists in This world. I believe there would be more Animus Dragons since this is several years after the 3rd Arc. New Nightwing generations also being able to see the future and read minds to. Imagine fighting a Nightwing boss that was born under two moons! The NPC could predict your movements by reading your mind and also see the future which could also be a good skill in battle. I think the only way to beat them would to have Skyfire and Have many Battles of Trial and error. I have so many ideas and art concepts I drew but sadly this game will never come to reality.

That's true. Skyrim and this WoF Game share very similar styles - both being somewhat medieval, the vast open world and progression. Although it may not be the most original, it still doesn't detract from it being a working formula. Some people may like it, others may not and that's fine haha! In terms of flying, *that* is what would set it apart from Skyrim (or other open worlds); you'd be a dragon! Fly to your heart's content! There may be a stamina bar for your flight time to balance the game, but it's a shared ability for all dragons.

It would be awesome if there were a sidequest on rebuilding the old night kingdom, too. If you fought for the Rainwings, you could go to the old night kingdom and help the Nightwings, or if you fought for the Nightwings, Rainwings would flee there(or, you could establish a trade for the Rainwings getting their land back and Nightwings getting the old kingdom.).

That'd be really cool! Questing in the game would need to have several scenarios to play through to be interesting and adhere to the story - so incorporating the old NightWing kingdom would be great!
