Jonny had recently broken up with Sara. Missing the touch of another man he downloaded grindr. as he went about watching anime he got pinged on discord. "Hey Jonny you're 4 hours late to game night when are you joining" Jonny was tired of people spamming him. "uuhhhh give my like an hour". Jonny would not make it to that game night. He got a notification on his phone, from grindr. "Tere, ma näen, et olete ilus Indiana pärit poiss. kas sa tahaksid kohtingule minna????" Jonny could not believe it. he was a chizzled man from Estonia, a patriotic Slav who served his country, and it made jonny's legs shake. "uuuuuuhhhhhhhh o-o-okay sir. would you like to go to applebees?" Jonny sat nervously as he awaited his response. Sara was carrying out her belongings when she saw Jonathan jumping with glee. "What are you so happy about?" Sara was the breadwinner but the apartment was under jonny's name, so he kicked her out,he was keeping the cats though. "Not that its any of ur buisness, but i have a HOT date tonight" Suddenly his phone got a notification. "Olete väike mees, kuid see tähendab, et see teeb mind suuremaks, ma tahaksin minna Applebezi. Ma näen sind kell 7, riietu kenasti, ma ei taha, et mind häbistataks" Jonny screamed with glee. Then he realized that the time would conflict with movie night with the discord. "who cares what they want they are stupid and gay and i hate minorities" Joanny meets with Estonian man at 9 at applebees. "sorry im late i got a cold" "See on hea, lihtsalt ärge mind jälle lahti ajada, yankee saas" Jonny orders a very large meal while Estonian man only orders a water. he cannot aford to lose his figure knowing at any time the russians could invade his mother country. "Milline on teie arvamus Eesti ja Venemaa väikemehe kohta?" hearing the word estonia and russia Jonny guesses that the estonian man is asking where estonia is in russia. "Well i know its on the baltic. Russia is such a beautifal country i would love to vist there on day and see estonia" The estonian man then grabs Joan of arc by the neck and throws him out of the building. he puts him in his car and drives him back home. graphic things then happen and Jonny never makes it to the game night non patreon plebs dont even know about the video lole

Personally, the only role i could have seen the Ratte working as an actual concept would be to take advantage of that main turret on it and that would be as a mobile costal-defense gun. Something deployed in France, driving up and down the coast, lobbing shells at the Royal Navy patrolling the Channel, after all, that gun was specifically designed to tear through ships. The problem with this is that it would be a sitting duck as far as the Royal Navy is concerned as British Warships would be carrying equally as large guns to just end its whole fucking career, but, being that it is land-based, (And with it's theorized speed) the argument COULD be made that it'd have the maneuverability to avoid return fire.
@TheTeddyGuy284 жыл бұрын
Hell, it could use cover if it finds a particularly large hill or building to park beside. Roll forward, lob two shells into the sea using information from spotter planes, then back up behind the solid cover to weather return fire and reload.

Seeing how its only 28cm,which is the lower end of Battleship calibers ( arguably the Scharnhorsts were fairly undergunned), and BBs are supposed to hit other, moving and maneuvering, ships, the Ratte would be no match for ANY battleship and probably not even cruisers

@Potential History Hey man, love your videos, have been watching them for a while now. Under the threat of sounding like a pretentious douche: Since you plan on incorporating yourself more in front of the camera, I'd like to suggest that you play with the zoom a bit between each cut, as it can really help with the perceived pace and looks less jarring. Of course it depends on your style of speaking and presenting, but you should try it out for yourself. I found that increases/decreases in steps of 15% work pretty well and ideally cuts like at 7:00 should become almost seamless. If you record in 4K, but render and upload in fullHD you should get a full 100% of zoom to play with before the quality drops. Alternatively recording in fullHD and rendering in 720p works the same, but obviously that leaves you with less quality all-together. You could try some tracking shots of your hand movement with keyframes, but it might feel to hectic for your style. If you end up zooming, try to not jump the focus from one end of the screen to another, it might take some effort, but it really helps the video's flow when you keep it consistent. Like with that text you put at the bottom of the screen, instead of besides your face and near the hand movement. Even a small fade-in effect can help with that. Alternatively I'd suggest moving the camera a bit closer when you don't plan on using the wide open space you framed, which also helps with the microphone you're using. At least near enough to hide the front of your (quite beautiful) desk, so it looks cleaner. Also, was that black screen near 3:38 an error, or deliberate? If it's the latter, then the transition was a tad too short to really work, at least in my opinion. Maybe I just don't like it in general, I dunno. Then at some other parts, for example near 4:55 there is at least one black frame in between your transition. Not doing this to be a nitpicky arse, I just want to see you improve even more on a technical level and avoid such things. Took me seven years to get to where I'm now, so in comparison you're pretty golden. You have a rather engaging way of talking, but in terms of presentation you might wanna consider cutting a bit "sharper" at times, so you don't finish talking, begin to move and then jump to another scene where you're completely still. Lighting is obviously hard to adjust when working alone, but with a bit more light the camera quality would probably look much crisper. That being said, I love your videos, thank you so much for taking this step ans evolving further as a video producer!
@Soundwave35914 жыл бұрын
3:00 doesn't that apply to...90% of the "Wunderwaffe?" Our obsession for the 3rd Reich's machines and weapons attains a level of worship that borders on unhealthy. Based in part, i think, on those that they DID build or attempt to build, such as Schwere Gustav, the V-weapons and the Horten flying wings, we instantly assume that anything that came out of the German drawing boards, they fully intended to build. On the question of a role, i'm sorry, but i have this amusing idea of a battle-crazed Panzer commander, sick of running face-first into Soviet defensive "walls" at Kursk, screaming at the local Ratte commander to send it forward in a desperate attempt to use this building-sized pile of armor as a battering ram to try and break through.
@gratuitouslurking8610 Жыл бұрын
It's also interesting just in the fact... 90% of these wunderwaffe didn't really even do that much when they got made. Gustav did ok in the cited fight but they didn't use it past that, the V rockets killed those that operated and launched them more than anyone across the channel, and a lot of Horton's bluster about the flying wing is pretty bullcrap and people who call it a prototype stealth aircraft are entirely skipping over the people who actively created the more modern radar-resistant crafts of the cold war because 'it was made by a nazi it clearly was ahead of it's time' despite it barely being a prototype and like most nazi jet experiments usually costed the reich more in casualties than the oil and actual technical advancements that would be useful.

The spread on the rounds was far too great for accurate fire, and considering it took 45 minutes per shell, any hope of adjusting fire was out of th window. The only thing it was any use at was destroying ammunition bunkers, since they were large enough targets, but like the Ratte, the hassle was not worth the very small gain.
