I wouldn't worry too much about the negative videos you are talking about, the kind of foreigners you would want and enjoy seeing visiting Cambodia are probably educated and youtube experienced enough to recognize click bait videos and not put them off. Myself I can hardly wait to locate to Siem Riep as my new retirement base in February 2024. Your videos have only added to the positivity I feel about my choice and my mate who just left after several Months there was a good source of what to expect. Great channel and one of the best non biased informational channels so keep up the gr8 work.

Bravo! Clare well said these click bait videos disturb me too. As unfortunately some would be visitors believe this nonsense. I've also noticed posts popping up on travel pages with the same troubling agenda. As an Australian woman who has been coming here for 20 plus years and spending extended periods of time here since 2017. I feel safe here in Cambodia - it's a super travel friendly destination. Khmers are warm and welcoming hosts. In fact I had this discussion with another Expat friend this evening. I actually feel safer heading out at night here than I did in my hometown in Australia. That said I think we know there will always be people everywhere who exploit others. Common sense needs to be applied wherever in the world we are. But on the other side some visitors show poor judgement. Also as a solo woman Expat/traveller Cambodia ticks all the boxes. Super amazing country with a rich culture. Thanks for stepping up and raising this. important issue. ❤

The cow part of this video reminded me during Khmer Rouge. One time I was walking on a dike between rice paddy, at the same time a cow was walking on the opposite direction of me on the same dike. As we walked toward each other, I kept staring at the cow and the cow kept staring at me until we faced to faced. after we stood face to face for a moment, the cow decided to turn around, but it kicked me on my leg before it ran away. After it ran about 50 meters away from me, it stopped and turn around looked at me before it walked away. It seems the cow sent me a message, take that. Until today I keep thinking cows have their own pride too. It is a funny story, but it is true. Thanks for share this video.

We get many Cambodians visiting Surin mainly at the Supermarkets and hospitals. I have find them to be some of the loveliest people I have met. I am starting to notice the same as you about the rubbish videos being posted on KZbin. It is being done in many countries. I've seen the effects of those kinds of videos on people who have claimed to feel extremely unsafe in Siem Reap. When I asked why, it wasn't that anything happened at all, they just heard horror stories and obviously internalized them and that became the filter through which they viewed SIem Reap, rather than seeing it as it is. It saddens me because the place is so safe and lovely.

Thank you again Claire and Jeremy. Great video. Always that orange/reddish dirt in that region of Cambodia. Love the eastern sounding music you added in. 👍🏼 👏🏼 Yes, lots of snakes in that part of the world. I’ll be studying them…..hopefully to have a better idea which ones only have a bite…..and which ones have a bite with venom. I imagine that most of them are relatively harmless. But even if not poisonous, a bite could still get infected. We just have to keep our eyes open, and be careful of possibly poisonous creatures or creatures with horns etc…. Take care……Merry Christmas to you both. 🎄 😃 🦎 🌴 🌴 ☸️

Hi, Trapeang Phong is a bit south of the main Rolous group. I have added the location map in the description box of this video because KZbin frequently deletes comments that contain links. I hope you can see it there. These structures are solid - nothing inside as far as I know. Thanks for watching!

What are all the fees do you have to pay with a debit card account with "ABA" bank in Cambodia?

$5 yearly fee, we haven't paid anything else. But they do have a full breakdown on their website.

Number one thing is these vloger get view from Thailand because Thailand don't like Cambodia and they scare that those tourist will go to Cambodia instead of Thailand.

They love to play to their base subscribers and throw other countries under the bus for views. We love Thailand but some of the hate is horrible in their comment section. 😕

@@ForRielwait till one day that you'll come across their comments joking about how Cambodian were killed by khmer rouge or laugh off of how Cambodian sill rule by pol pot and even wish why we Cambodian didn't get kill during that time. Never once hate thai people or thailand as I've always thought we are neighboring country and share alot of similarly regarding culture and language, etc. After I've been reading so much hated comments from them towards Cambodian, I can honestly say that I have zero respect for them.

Hello, I almost choked on my cookie: A tuk tuk driver tried to take her to a girls' bar! If not that, it's the costume sellers' shops in BKK, or elsewhere. Okay, for a young person it can be scary. It made me burst out laughing. I find this quite common. I'm looking forward to discovering Siem Reap in a few months. Thank you for your videos, often very informative.

Apparently the Indians built a lot of temples ie Ankor Wat That restoration Jobby look Daunting as the bricks seem very soft, Seems a tad futile as it is tucked away but it offers jobs to local i hope.

Be careful with the cows… very disturbing to hear about these KZbinrs… I won’t contribute to their views by watching them. The brick temple looks like pre- Angkorian ( Chanla era). Very cool experience…

Usually they are pretty relaxed but this one had a few young ones nearby.

Unfortunately as long as he takes his shirt off and gets into drama he will get views.
