Tony Koester's timely and insightful articles have kept me from throwing in the towel on more than one occasion. Thanks to Tony, I still love model railroading and its rewards as well as challenges some 25 years since I began. I just wanted to say, "Thanks, Tony!"

Glad I ran across this video. Been following Tony for years. I've used a few things from his articles over time and it worked the way he said it would. The photos for extending roads off layout was fun. Had my daughter and son-in-law driving around So.Jersey standing in the middle of roadways taking pictures. Thanks , Tony!

A real privilege to watch this. I grew up reading Trains of Thought, and have devoured pretty much everything Tony has ever written. My model railroading interests have long since moved on from US outline, but I'll still happily give up my time for anything from Mr K.

Brilliant brilliant brilliant. I've always loved Mr. Koester's almost seamless blending of shallow benchwork into photo backdrops. But I learned a lot more in this video.

Very impressive! So many insights, stories, and common sense explanations. It’s like a full course in model railroading in an hour. Really like the grain elevators. Thank-you Tony.

I disagree with Tony about N&W GP30s. They are not ugly, and I would love to see one on his layout.
