This is really beautiful and I love the colourway. I have one technical question: when you showed sewing the petal bead on using the 11/0 then petal bead then 15/0 then back down through the petal bead I didn't see you go into that 11/0 again before moving over to the 8/0. But then when you added the second row of petal beads I saw you go back down into the 8/0 anchor bead. I wondered whether it was just a misstep or if we should be going back down into that anchor bead each time? Does the petal bead sit differently when you skip the anchor bead and continue on? Thanks for these videos!!

Anxiously waiting for Rivoli size to use with the smaller petals. You've been out of stock on the correct size of petals, so I ordered the smaller size and got the smaller ring but still don't know what size Rivoli to use. I know you are working on this per notes below but my daughter's birthday is approaching and I would love to make this for her. Also wondering if I should use different sized seed beads.
@joannhorrisberger8083
@joannhorrisberger8083 3 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking I would still use an 18mm rivoli. Two reasons: 1. Allie didn't suggest changing the size of the rivoli and 2. The space between the petals would be the same regardless of petal size, since the distance is controlled by the "top" side of each square. (Only the left and right side are changed by the use of one size 8 seed bead instead of two.)

@@Barbs44Travels I added the rivoli before the ring because I didn’t have the ring yet. It was tricky getting the Rivoli to stay because the opening did not keep the circle shape as I worked on it. If I did it again, I would place the piece flat on a small tray or Lazy Susan so I could rotate it without losing my perfect circle as I worked. When you have added the Rivoli, turn the piece oven and measure from the centerpoint of the rivoli to the far side of the hole on one of the pedals in the bottom row. Double that measurement for ring size. Please let me know how it works out. Happy beading!
